We gave Michigan the worst beatdown in many decades, upset the NFL-loaded Buckeye’s in the Citrus Bowl, and easily put Northwestern away. man, after reading this I'm happy as a clam that our Volunteers don't play in the Big 12.. On the big stage (not some you can't spell Citrus without UT bowl game) but the big stage bowl games - like the Orange and Fiesta bowls.. Something about those 409 rushing yards vs a NFL loaded Volunteer time - Manning, Fair, Little, Wilson, Price, Bryson, Ellis, Clifton, Walker, Grant, etc.. Or the follow-up beatdown, or the embarrasment in Dallas.. If there has been a more embarrasing stretch of bowl game losses - during the "best of" the Fulmer years I can't think of one. Using history to prop up todays views - but it does have a tendency to backfire on ya when you least expect it..
