Why Do They Say It’s Hot??

Does anybody else ever get annoyed when certain food is advertised as “hot” or “spicey” when in fact it is neither?

I went to Charlie Peppers on the strip and got the “Death Valley” wings. I was frightened to take my first niblet. As soon as the fried chiken appendage touched my tongue I breathed a sigh of relief. They were completely harmless.

The same goes for Wendy’s Spicey Chicken Sandwich. While I admit, this is a superb fast food sandwich, it most defenitely is not hot nor is it spicy.

I make wings at home all of the time and I get Hooters Hot Wing Sauce. You guessed it…..not hot.

Who else out there is a frustrated as I am?

  1. the death valley wings were probably of the clemson variety

  2. Wilbur Scoville is rolling over in his grave.

You want hot? Go out for Indian food.

  3. dammit. busting on my team…..

  4. I agree. Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich is the cadillac of fast food sandwiches.

  5. Try applebees McRiblets-to die for.

  6. Don’t know if you’re in Knoxville or not, but there was a place on the west end of town called Bullfeathers (on Kingston Pk) that had honest-to-God hot wings. They made you sign a waiver before you ate them (I thought it was a joke). These babys were HOT, and I eat a LOT of hot stuff. Not sure if they are still there or not, they were next to Biker Rags.

  7. Yeah I listened to the show but only the first hour of it. He didn’t say anything when I was listening. So I really don’t know. That would be cool though.
