Bama AD Mal Moore embarrassed by being turned down by Saban, Spurrier, (gasp!) Louisville coach Bobby Petrino is in secret negoitiations with WVU Coach Rich Rodriguez.  Moore is concerned that the Bama Nation is quickly becoming a pariah of college football, a  social outcast.  The school can’t accept another rejection from another subpar coach.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Coach Rich Rodriguez has been raising the bar around West Virginia’s football program since he arrived six seasons ago, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down.

He met with Mountaineers athletic director Ed Pastilong on Wednesday afternoon to discuss upgrades to the football facilities — and apply leverage gained by recent discussions with Alabama officials about their coaching vacancy.

Several West Virginia boosters also have contacted Rodriguez in the past 36 hours to see what steps can be taken to keep him, according to the Charleston (W.Va.) Gazette.

Six months after giving him a three-year contract extension, Pastilong gave Rodriguez a list of upgrades that could bolster recruiting.

    I hope they don’t start sniffing Cutcliffe’s way. I don’t think they will but after this dis which is much like having a great time with a pretty female. Then agreeing on a date in the future and then a day later saying she got back with her boyfriend. You know it would hurt. So Alabama is desprate for the goods and they’ll do anything.

    If Bama were to snag Cutcliffe, then Fulmer would fall fast and take the UT program along with him down the toilet.

    In the long haul, that may be what it takes to get UT football back as a national power to be reckoned with

    There is another contender for the Alabama Job, but the Montana Forestry Division has offered big money for him to stay put.
