How in the world is Robert Meachem just a third team AP All-American. Look at the numbers:
Robert Meachem 67 catches 1265 yards and 11 TD’s.
First team selections:
Calvin Johnson 67 catches 1016 yards and 13 TD’s. Remember no catches against Clemson in their biggest game of the year.
Dwayne Jarrett 59 catches 810 yards and 10 TD’s. Was great against Notre Dame, but missed part of the year with an injury and did little against UCLA in a game to secure a trip to the National Title game.
Jarrett Dillard 82 catches 1176 and 20 TD’s. Played at Rice, don’t know alot about him, but big time numbers. Obviously a good player.
Jeff Samardzija 70 catches for 958 yards and 11 TD’s.
Meachem put up bigger numbers in the toughest conference in America.

Dillard started out the season vs Houston, UCLA, Texas, & Florida State. Very deserving of AA honors – more so than the so called big boys in the BCS conferences.
