2007 College Football Blog Awards
I stole some of this writeup from Orson Swindle at EDSBS. I hope he doesn’t report me to the NCAA.
What: The College Football Blog Awards 2007
Who: Any blogger with a functioning, active college football-centered blog really, though a committee protects the people’s interests: Brian Cook from MGoBlog, T. Kyle King from Dawg Sports, Joel of Rocky Top Talk, Peter Bean of Burnt Orange Nation, and yours truly.
Losers With Socks was nominated for the funniest blog last year. Of course we were treated like Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl and got our pee-pee spanked. I need your nomination and votes.
I think we compete for the funniest blog; best photoshop, Possibly funniest post…
and with Angry Eer posting here, why not the best Big East Blog???
Why? To recognize the finest in college football blogging in all its shades and varietals: funny, analytical, bitter, snarky, hopeful, speedy, thorough…we hope to catch them all.
How?
The categories are listed in the table at the bottom.
Best, for bloggers: Treat it like a multi-post roundtable. Nominate, in a post on your site, whomever you like for whatever you like (two or three blogs/posts for each category). Spread them out over the week and provide some commentary for why you believe the nominee is worthy. This commentary has a good chance of winding up as a quote and link in the award presentation post if your nominee wins or is a runner-up. I think that if you look at EDSBS page with all of the awards from last year; Look at who has the preponderance of nominations for this year [EDSBS]; and who is the lead web site behind this year’s awards link (EDSBS); and who will win? Wanna guess?
