Failure is Imminent; Louisville’s Petrino Bolts to the NFL

Ah history continues to repeat itself.  Nick Saban, Peter Carroll,  Steve Spurrier are examples of coaches from Big Boy Football Schools who took the NFL leap and failed (Herban Meyer is next to depart).  Why would Papa Johns Pizza’s Bobby Petrino  from the wannabe Big East Conference  do any better?  ESPN who sponsors the Big East must be in full meltdown in Bristol today.  It is rumored that Nick Saban’s agent Jimmy Sexton is “talking” to UofL Officials

Louisville sports information director Kenny Klein confirmed the report. Petrino met with his Louisville players Sunday night to let them know he was leaving. A Falcons spokesman had no immediate comment, but a formal announcement was expected Monday
