The Big 10 begins to fly their flags upside down as following the international sign of distress, the Big 10 is a conference under siege. (The Ohio State Flag is inverted) Penn State whipped Tennessee’s ass, we got it, so focus on the questions to the Herbie Big 10 Homers.
In case anyone cares, we are nominated for the Funniest College Football Blog of the Year. We are the Boise State of Blogs link1 or link2
Before ESPN puts Kirk Herbstreight back in his cage for the off-season we have a couple of a questions. The first question we want to ask Kirk (see below) is about why he dropped a deuce on the Barn for the AP Top 25 vote; the second question we will ask Kirk is what he and Corso do during the off-season. We know that Chris Fowler hosts after-hours metrosexual wine-in-a-box tasting contests for ESPN. Does ESPN treat you and Corso like zoo animals? Caged heat? Prowling and pacing predators waiting for the ESPN Big 10/Notre Dame animal trainers to feed you some scraps?

Kirk:
Do you remember back when ESPN put you on suicide watch when Michigan did not make the BCS Title Game? Just in case anyone cares, we (LWS) entered our own version of WTF after seeing your obvious emotional distress, we really thought that you were really going to pull an Herban Meyer and cry over a football game. Kirk we were worried. This was during the Florida to Glendale Campaign? We were a bit embarrassed by Herban Meyer’s lack of social skills (OK, he is a yankee and can’t help it but then again so are you) as he pushed for the BCS. OK, we have bitched about Florida enough this week, so back to you Herbie. Here is a one of your soundbites:
“Here’s the problem I had; I get paid to actually watch college football, from noon to 2 a.m. I watch every game there is, and I do that for 15 straight weeks. I’m in a position where I can make an opinion on more than, well right here on paper, it says Florida beat six top 25 teams … I don’t care. I don’t care. I’ve watched Florida every week. Congratulations, 12-1 … that’s amazing. But am I going to penalize Michigan because the Big Ten is awful this year? Absolutely not. I don’t care that they beat ND and ND is terrible. I don’t care that they beat Wisconsin and we don’t know how good Wisconsin is. I saw them play against every team this year.
“People can say look how they played against Ball State and look how they played against Northwestern. They were bored. The difference between that and Florida … Florida was actually trying when they played and didn’t execute against Georgia and Vanderbilt, and didn’t execute against Kentucky and other teams they played.”
Look, Florida appeared to have fielded a pretty good team (sorry gators that is best compliment we can give). Most SEC teams and coaches don’t believe that Florida was the best team in SEC, it common knowledge thatLSU was the best. But LSU (Hester scored) just didn’t get the officiating calls and once in the lifetime breaks that Florida got. Anyway, back on topic, Herbie how could you have voted Auburn 18th on your top 25 ballot?
Really Herbie, can you really explain why the Barn, who beat Florida who beat the snot out of your alma mater is ranked so low? We will hang up now and listen to your response.

I think it was because Auburn didn’t look like a top 15 team this year. They really didn’t look too impressive all year.
I guess beating the No 1 and No 3 team in the final poll isn’t impressive. The only team to beat the national champion, but not too impressive. Herbstreit deserves the buckeye status as a hairless nut with no commercial value.
Nice work there inbred.
Herby can eat shit and die.
WAR EAGLE!
Dumb ass augrad, it was written by a barner about barners for barners.
What is Herbstreit right about? Miami for National Champ? Scratch that. Michigan over Southern Cal? Nope. Ohio State over Florida? Nyet. In short, Kirk is practically worthless as a prognosticator. He’s a homer for the Big 10, and his prejudice is obvious even to the blind. As for Auburn, they didn’t look impressive at times, but the national champion (who, as you’ve noted, Auburn beat) didn’t look real impressive at times either. Kentucky game, anyone?
11-2 and being the only victor over two BCS teams in the country easily qualifies you for a top ten rating. Kirk’s vote isn’t just wrong, it is indeed an insult, and he doubtless wants Auburn people to get the message. Loud and Clear, Kirk. Message understood and recieved. But in the process, you blew a big chunk of your cred like a freshman at a keg party blows his Dominos after mixing keg leftovers with MD 20/20. What’s sad is, even that freshman has more honor and dignity than you do, Herbstreit. Maybe you should go on those wine tasting ventures with Chris Fowler, Kirk, as lately you’ve turned into a metrosexual wonder yourself. We liked you so much better when you were serious about football.
Des nice comment. you should write for us
Herbstreit is a tool. I actually respected him. Now he’s on the Corso Fowler level. Also Desmond Howard needs to be as far away from a camera and microphone as possible.
ESPN can go to hell. They want to think SEC fans are all redneck yayhoos that are geo-centric. Fuck yes, at least I am. Fuck ESPN, and all the idiots that work for them.
Mark May might be the most respectable guy around there these days. That might be because he’s matched up with the dumbest man to ever be paid for his opinion. Lou “I’d pick South Carolina if they were facing God Himself” Holtz.
In a nutshell: Herbstreit is a tool.
It really is simple to understand. Herbstreit is an idiotic pretty boy with absolutely no ability to truly evaluate a football team’s ability. He is a relentless Big Ten homer, which is okay because ESPN and ABC spend most of their time suckling at the Big Ten teet. The best stat that I learned this bowl season is the Kirk beloved Ohio State is 0-8 against the SEC in bowls. That must just piss him off to no end. I bet after the show he wept uncontrollably on Corso’s shoulder and screamed for his mommy. The entire show is completely insane. Corso knows nothing, Fowler knows nothing, Herbstreit knows nothing, May actually knows a little but he’s paired with a lisping Granny Clampett, who really only knows how to leave programs when they are about to go on probation. I miss Trev Alberts. He was an ass, but at least he knew what he was talking about.
Where did Herbie have Auburn ranked before the Cotton Bowl… below #18, exactly #18, or above #18?
If they were ranked below #18, Herbie was already an idiot. If they were ranked exactly #18, Herbie is an idiot who didn’t feel a victory over Nebraska amounted to anything. If they were ranked above #18, Herbie is an idiot, because Auburn became the only team in the poll to drop after winning a game.
Now that we’ve proven Herbie is an idiot, please tell me where Auburn was ranked before the Cotton Bowl so I can accurately determine Herbie’s idiot factor.
Herbie has a deep-seeded agenda against Auburn, going back to 2004 when he shoved USC-Oklahoma down our throats and ESPN was called out by Tommy Tuberville. The massacre that ensued proved Tuberville’s point, and Herbie and ESPN were made out to be the biased fools that they are. He hasn’t, and never will, get past his ego long enough to be a fair and impartial analyst, and ESPN is more concerned with money than they are credibility.
When you’re the “only game in town” as ESPN currently is, credibility isn’t a big concern. There’s no one else to be “more credible”.
Herbie hates the SEC. Why? Because Ohio State is 0-8 against the SEC. ESPN hates the SEC. Why? Because the SEC has a contract with CBS.
Herbie agreed to spout the ESPN line because they allow him to pump Ohio State, and the conferences that ESPN is contracted with. It’s a win-win situation, and the only losers are college football fans who have to listen to their garbage.
But… we don’t “have” to listen, and that’s exactly what I’ve chosen to do. Screw Herbie, screw ESPN, and screw the BCS while you’re at it.
If USC had beaten UCLA by one point, we’d have all seen them play against Ohio State, and once again, a better team would have sat at home watching instead of being rewarded with at least a chance at the crown. I’m sick of it. I’m mad as Hell, and I won’t take it anymore.

Hey FUCK YOU BAMMER. The inbred I was referring to was the guy who posted above me. His post has been deleted, so it looks like I was responding to Bill.
GO TO HELL BITCH!
I am not Bammer, even they we do have a bammer that writes here. Stop the hurting and hating Barner
Does anyone have a link to Herbstriet’s final poll? I know it was reported he had AU 18th, but I’m real interested in his other picks. I’d love to see all the voters final polls, but can’t seem to track em down.
For Auburn to get 8th, I was pleased. People will point that we didn’t meet expectations, yet we were ranked 6th at the beginning of the season and only missed that by two places. If we would have had only one loss, we probably wouldn’t have made the BCS title game and Florida probably wouldn’t have either because we would have pulled from them. A bittersweet season, sure. I’m left to wonder what if Greg Smith would have been at Auburn all season and gotten in shape. Or if a couple of our freshmen receivers would have gotten a chance. Gotta trust the coaches, but we needed more talent on the field.

AUGrad, we know what you were doing, and you still look like a maniac.
