You called it when this article was originally published…”Nutt will fail next year, be fired, and Gus will return to Arkansas as Head Coach”. It may not happen due to too much Malzahn water-under-the-bridge (and a chancellor who needs to keep his nose in academia and out of the football program), but since Grobe’s defection, there is talk of trying to either bring Malzahn back or hire an up-and-coming coordinator. I’d like to see Malzahn given a chance (what’s to lose?), but I don’t think it will happen.
