LSU’s women’s basketball coach and appropriately named Pokey Chapman has resigned under pressure due to “allegedly” having illicit relations with former players, per ESPN.
Apparently, LSU officials frown upon their female coaches doing a little rug-munching. Or maybe they were upset that they weren’t allowed to watch.
A few questions do come to mind, though. Like how are her teams so good when they obviously don’t get a lot of practice handling balls? Will Oregon State be her next stop?
We here at LWS hope that Pokey is given a second chance to strap her head on straight and lick her problem.

There were so many possible double entendres, it was hard to narrow it down.
It’s sad to see her leave. I don’t watch much women’s college basketball, but during March time (and guess what? It’s March!), I will always catch a few games, and I remember her bringing LSU all the way to the Final Four the other year. She’s captured that accomplishments, and I’m sure many others being that catalyst for that Tigers team. It’s sad to see she’s leaving the college.
Yep, Pokey was a players’ coach. She licked player problems.
They should have given her a contract extension…and a camcorder.
