Here is what I recall about being recruited by Florida:
“I didn’t think it was too funny at the time, in fact I thought it was rude but looking back on it, it was funny. I was committed to Tennessee and was telling everyone that I was not taking any more visits, but Florida kept calling trying to come see me. I didn’t want to be rude so I let Coach Gonzales in the house. And he brought this book all about Florida. It was like sixty pages and he was going through it page by page. My mom’s husband told him that he didn’t have to do that and to just leave the book. Coach Gonzales said it was no trouble to go through the whole book with me. So he finally finished all sixty pages and I looked over at my mom’s husband and he was asleep. I thought it was rude, but now it is pretty funny. I was pretty proud I stayed awake through the whole thing. That was the last time I saw the Florida coaches.”
