Now We Understand Why Noah Stayed Another Year

All Noah wanted was a winning record against his nemesis…..Dane Bradshaw. Noah and the rest of the 04s have two national titles, but they are 1-3 against the white shadow…Bradshaw. [Rise of Tennessee] Having failed at the task, the fab 4 having declared for the NBA draft, hoping against all hope that Bradshaw doesn’t follow them

Now former Tennessee basketball player Dane Bradshaw was a microchasm of the ascension of the Vol hoops program that culminated with a SEC East Championship in 2006 and a NCAA Sweet Sixteen berth in 2007. Through it all, Bradshaw viligantly documented his experiences in a journal. Now that journal has turned into a book

Vertical Leap: Inside the Rise of Tennessee Basketball” documents the Volunteers’ 2006-07 season. Officially, the season started on November 10, 2006. Unofficially, it started much earlier – with conditioning, individual workouts and early morning weight training. That’s where Bradshaw’s book begins as it chronicles his senior season.

  1. WTF? The “rise” of Vol Ball? Shiiit, I understand beating the jorts off the Gators was great but don’t you have to “win” something before you “write” a book about your program? And is that title a joke — Dane has no hops? At least I won’t have to hear Dick go on and on about Dane’s scholarship fund and how great a “kid” he is.

  2. It was a ‘hasty’ blog. Yeah vertical, I get it
