Meyer Sends A Message, Suspends Player For First Quarter of Orange and Blue Game.

Gainesville-
Preaching “zero tolerance” and proclaiming “he had no choice but to get tough, crack down and send a message,” it was disclosed today that University of Florida head coach Urban “Herban” Meyer held embattled offensive lineman Ronnie Wilson out of the first quarter of last week’s Orange and Blue Game.

In an emotionally-charged statement to the media, Meyer said, “Here at the University of Florida, the inmates do not run the asylum.” Meyer continued, “I’m tired of all these punk-ass brats thinking they own Gainesville. We are an elite team, and when one of us slips, the whole team suffers. Bottom line: I’m not gonna take it, and therefore, Wilson was suspended.”

Wilson, charged with aggravated assault, simple battery and the use of a concealed weapon during the commission of a felony stemming from a nightclub incident, joined the Blue team in the second quarter and saw limited action.
