The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that the Orlando Magic expect Florida head coach and Widows’ Peak advocate Billy Donovan as their new head coach.
What does this mean for the Gators? It’s a little late in the offseason to be looking for a new head coach. Any idea who the candidates could be? Will Jeremy Foley continue the widows’ peak trend in Gainesville and hire Eddie Munster or Ahman Green?

Is that a bong in his pocket? Ahh, geeze. Honestly, he’d be a fool to turn this down. That Whore Land o team is close to being great, and in the NBA, there’s an offseason. But, in Gainesville he can ride Los Dos Championes for at least another decade before he feels any pressure. Ohh Billy, stay. Please.
UF has their 2 basketball national titles. I doubt the real fans would be pissed off at him. For some reason I don’t see him being in Orlando for more than 5 seasons and taking the UK job in 2013.
Hope he does not end up coaching Alabama in two years along with Saban! Maybe he will bring in Teddy Dupay to keep the books.
Seriously I have always said Billy is a fine coach and will do well in our great state! Gators, I feel your pain! Har Har
I agree that the Magic are probably one good draft pick and some solid veteran roleplayers away from being one of the best teams in the sorry Eastern Conference. I think he’s going to an NBA team that already has a franchise player (Dwight Howard) and other promising young players.
I was hoping that someone would get this posted…
I thought hogpage and bill simmons were the only one’s ‘intrigued’ by the nba anymore.
Here’s what I’m worried about. After OBC won it and scrammed for Dan Snyder’s $$, Foley zooked us. Hope he’s not calling Bell Biv Devoe right now.
That Jai Lucas kid that just committed is PISSED!
And I think this makes Billy D the second or third highest-paid coach in the NBA? (I know Phil Jackson makes more, but not sure about anybody else.)
