Bammer mythology would state that the tree grew 50 ft. tall, and uprooted in an effort to stop St. Nick and his wife from recruiting, because the tree was under a spell cast by Tuberville. St. Nick then ran his thumb on his magical “Houndstooth Amulet”, grew to 120 ft (because they got 12 rings) and he slew the oak with his bare hands.
