Who should take over for Bob…?
In the wake of finding out that Dan Patrick will not be taking over for Bob Barker on the PIR, I thought, why not make a list of the top ten sports personalities that should host the Price is Right…? So I did, and without further ado…Here they are from 10-1…Enjoy!
10. Brad Faxon: Who else would be a better replacement for Bob in the putting game…This guy would hit it EVERY time…
9. Slava Medvedenko: Can you imagine how many different ways people would misspell his name on those cheesy block letter t-shirts? Not to mention any guy with the stones to go after ‘Sheed can do anything as far as I’m concerned…
8. Julio Franco: He’s been playing for ever. Bob’s been hosting forever. He’s old. Bob’s old. Julio wouldn’t miss a beat…
7. Harold Reynolds: You know he wouldn’t get weirded out by random women wanting to hug him…
6. Ugueth Urbina: Oh yeah…I forgot…I doubt he’s available…Or a very safe option…Can you imagine how much life insurance rates would shoot up for anyone attending the show…?
5. Adam Sandler (Happy Gilmore): Sure Adam’s not a sports personality, but Happy is…And can you really argue that he doesn’t at least deserves a shot on the other side of that beat down…
4. Tommy Lasorda: Go ahead…Tell me that this wouldn’t be transcendent comedy…Can you? Didn’t think so…
3. Pete Rose: He would make the games so much more meaningful, not to mention entertaining, for the contestants…I can see it now…”I give you 3 to 1 odds you won’t win that Chevy Cavalier”…
2. Jim Mora: Simply because I would get to hear this line…”What’s that? Oh come on now. Showcase Showdown? Don’t talk about– Showcase Showdown? You kidding me? Showcase Showdown? I just hope you can spin the wheel!”
And #1…
1. Ron Mexico…Uh I mean Michael Vick: He would far and away be the best choice…You can’t deny that the man knows how to control the pet population…

thanks…I actually called into a sports radio show here in Knoxville, Doc and Jeff in the morning, when they mentioned how they wondered who would take over for Bob, and I gave the Mike Vick answer…they seemed to like it based on their reaction…So I figured why not make a top 10 list and blog it…

Hi guys, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but FlyersFieldhouse ran this same thing a week or so ago.
sorry to be the raining parade on your bad news, but flyersfieldhouse did a top 5…flyersfieldhouse had none of the same people, and flyersfieldhouse didn’t even do it first…a radio program out of knoxville, which was the inspiration for the post on LWS, did the list before flyersfieldhouse…but as soon as you fin either a.) where flyersfieldhouse’s keeps their patent on the idea of a list or b.) where this is even close to copying seeing as none of the people are the same…then we’ll talk…
