OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma football program must forfeit all wins from the 2005 season and will lose scholarships as a result of players being paid for work they had not performed.
The penalties, announced Wednesday by the NCAA, stem from a case involving two players, including Sooners starting quarterback Rhett Bomar, who were kicked off the team for being paid for work they had not performed at a Norman car dealership.
Oklahoma permanently dismissed Bomar and guard J.D. Quinn point when it was determined they had knowingly and willfully been involved in receiving payment for work not performed. A third member of the team had been previously dismissed by the university for violations of team rules.

A UT guy calling out the Gators for “cheating”?
How soon you forget that the same shit that happened at Oklahoma happened at UT during their National Championship season with Wayne D. Rowe hooking Tee Martin up with $4,500. But yet nothing happened to UT??? Why didn’t they have to “vacate” their 1998 season, hmmm??? Because UT is in bed with the NCAA for all the violations that Fat Phil and Co. have turned in on other schools to make the NCAA look away from all the shit at UT. I do find it funny that Troy Smith basically did the exact same thing as Bomar in 2005 and was just suspended for 2 games and that’s it. The NCAA did nothing to OSU at all. But then again, they did nothing about the whole Maurice Clarett thing either, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
And it’s ridiculous that the NCAA has done nothing about all of the improper benefits that Reggie Bush (and his family) received while he was at USC. The evidence is damning but no one at the NCAA is doing anything about it.
