An Open Letter to Fresno State’s Pat Hill
AN OPEN LETTER TO Fresno State Head Coach Pat Hill
Dear Pat:
Maybe you should join the Big East. West Virginia and Louisville are laughing at you and not with you. I would bet that they would rather that you just STFU and fade away. Why? Because they want everyone to believe that your blueprint for BCS success is a fractured fraud. With that said, it seems that the relevance of your Team has slipped away like the last vestiges of the hair on your ass. But it is still great to see that you’ve retained your delusional pomposity of “Pat Hill goes anywhere and plays anyone” tude. Well, I can’t admire you and your Bulldog program for this performance: going 76-51 in 10 seasons, with 17 of those losses coming to BCS teams on the road. That just ain’t gonna get you to a BCS Bowl game.
Pat, the whole macho act of taking on the big boys is now exposed as overrated. More importantly, it makes West Virginia’s First Mexican Son, Rich Rodriguez look like genius… using the Big East practice of dodging the “Big Boys” is going to help one of “them” make it the Big Show.. you and your Bulldogs who were once the obvious deity to legions of emo Big East twats and C-USA reject-wannabes who are too manpadishly intimidated to play the LSU’s and Florida’s of this world. And why should they play a strong schedule? It is not in their best interest. Former bottomfeeders Louisville and West Virginia have simply filled the vacuum of the good teams (BC, VT and the U) that left the Big East. By default, they will get the BCS Bowl bid without having to play the ass kicking schedule that you played.
Your whiny “Bring it on” primal screams to BCS Teams and mangled-cat schedules WERE revolutionary before Utah and Boise showed that you don’t have to play teams from “Traditional Power Conferences” to make a BCS Bowl game… It is a damn sad day that your philosophical impact in the college football has become more questionable of late. You should pursue a career in sports radio, as to keep your macho ego exaggerated to epic proportions, à la Stuart Scott and his lazy discolored eye.
I wish you and your current “team” all the luck in the world, and I might attend a game when you’re playing in the Music City Bowl or the Texas Bowl… provided I’m not trying to woo the 19-year-old disaffected psychology student who works at Blockbuster and who is constantly trying to argue the philosophical merits of the Matrix trilogy. Take care and thanks for the laugh.
Sincerely,
Jai

Yeah, come join the BE, you will get your “windsock” tattered, cali hippies
I wish my little WVU wiener was bigger
I suck slaton’s cock
Typical classy WVU fans. They see something that they disagree with and then they leave trash like this all over.
You BE morons should try to be a little nicer, maybe people might think that your program has nit of class
I agree with this post. Why play tough teams from other conferences as apart of your OOC schedule, instead just play weaker teams…like say Big Least teams. That’s what Auburn is doing. Hopefully Auburn get the SEC a little exposure by have ESPN air on a Thursday night. After all the Big Least are the new “must watch comedy” Thursday line up.
Who is the lark?
It seems that this blog supports and discredits the Big East. Read this from yesterday:
http://loserswithsocks.com/2007/08/02/west-virginias-superior-bowl-record/
“THE LARK nothing but a spammer…I hear he got a warning from BGN and possibly may get banned for this garbage reporting.”
Yeah, i got a warning for posting a smack post on a smack board
You Eers are idiots. If I had posted the link in comment #6, I would be a hero.
Big East: 5-0 in Bowl Games in 2006. Enough said.
Later “twat”.
Let’s review the Big East’s stellar 2006/2007 5 and 0 bowl record:
_ UL beats Wake Forest in the most unattractive BCS bowl games to date. The worst Orange Bowl for as long anyone can remember. When Orange Bowl officials found out who they got for their premier game, a collective, “awww, shiiiaaatttt…” leaked from the board room.
- The cute Rutgers story of the year put them in the Texas Bowl against Big 12 (7-6) powerhouse, Kansas State. Rutgers, the Big East runner-up, wins 37 – 10. Aww. It’s their 1st ever bowl win in 137 seasons played. How cute.
- WVU, the big east #3, sneaks into the Gator Bowl and “destroys” GT 38-35. Ironically, that’s the same score they “destroyed” UGA with. “Destroy” is taught in WV public schools as a term to describe winning by any margin. WVU fans will not say that South Florida “destroyed” the mountaineers 24-19 in Morgantown, but, whatever.
- Now here’s where the big games start. Big East #4, South Florida, faces the juggernaut East Carolina from C-USA. This was a game for the ages with South Florida winning the Papa John’s Bowl 24-7. Papa John’s gave both conferences $100,000 worth of liquid garlic butter and those mini end tables used to keep the pizza box from being brushed into the cheese.
- Cincinnati (8-5), Big East #5, played the scrappy Western Michigan Broncos in Toronto in the International Bowl. I actually watched this whole game. I don’t know why, other than I must have been sick and the batteries on the remote must have been dead. Ironically, this was a good game. Kinda like how you can go to a high school football game and see a good game. Cincinnati came out to a 24-0 lead and eventually won the contest 27-24. Now that’s football.
So, the Big East’s 2006/7 bowl opponents were Wake Forest, GT, Kansas State, East Carolina, and Western Michigan. Wake Forest is the only team in the bunch to finish ranked in the top 30 with an 18 in the AP poll and 17 in the Coaches poll.
Why say all of that? I don’t know, really. Big East fans will never agree that their conference is inferior, so not only do I waste time watching Cincinnati in the International Bowl, but I wasted time reasearching Big East Bowl games to author a reply post on loserwithsocks.
You know how they have classifications in high school football? A, AA, AAA, AAAA, AAAAA? The Big East is AA. Every year a AA team will beat a AAAA or AAAAA team in football. They cheer and get all happy and say they can compete, but everyone knows they don’t have the depth or the ability to compete with the big boys every week. One game here and there? Sure, but WVU or UL isn’t escaping the SEC schedule with less than 3 losses during their best year.
I used to like WVU, but it’s tough to give them kudos now.
Nuff said…BE Bitch
YOUR AN ASS LARK
Glad you could analyze the conference so well you retard…. 5-0 just remember that! Come play in the BE and find out who becomes the BITCH….
Fellas
let’s try and like we got some class here. There are a lot of other fans from other schools that read this blog. Stop posting ignorant comments like some of the ones above.
Go EERS!!!
Kenny
He just gave you the answer to your question. As far as I can see, it appears that he is correct. Now I don’t like it anymore than you do, but we have to be better than these guys, OK? Kenny?
Ahhhh, we resort to the “you-didn’t-win-by-enough points argument”. That’s always my favorite one. Comparing how good teams are with how much you beat them by…and then compare how many points other teams beat them by…and then extrapolate that Team X is “this much” better than Team Y. A win is a win is a win, and if you watched the games, you know that the BE schools (mostly) dominated each of those games with the losers playing catch up in the 2nd half.
BTW, I am not a WVU fan, in fact, I probably think less of them than you ever will. To me, the facts are irrefutable: the BE has 3 teams in the top 12 to start the year (25% of the conference). I think most of your criticism is unfounded — statements like BC was successful in the BE (did they even have a .500 BE record before they left?), and Louisville is somehow a C-USA “reject”. Not sure why you’re so angry, but for the rest of the open-minded people reading this post, consider the following:
At the end of the day, the BE was given a bowl schedule and they came back 5-0. The conference had three teams finish in the top 12 of the BCS rankings, went 5-0 in bowl games and was an all-time best 37-8 (.822 winning percentage) in non-conference games, including a 14-7 mark — the nation’s best .667 — against the other five charter BCS conferences. Flash Forward 2008, most preseason pools have BE teams ranked at #4, #9, and #12, some ranking South Florida #20 – 25. What else is there to debate?
It looks like he resorted to the 5-0 Bowl game opponents were pussy argument. Or it could be that the SOS is weak argument. Either one works
“most preseason pools have BE teams ranked at #4, #9, and #12, some ranking South Florida #20 – 25. What else is there to debate?”
Please post the links to the polls, because the only ones I’ve found have different results than that.
http://cfn.scout.com/2/609740.html has no BE in their top 10.
http://www.ajc.com/blogs/content/shared-blogs/ajc/cfb/entries/2007/01/08/projecting_next.html Has just 2 BE teams in the top 12.

“non-conference games, including a 14-7 mark — the nation’s best .667″
When your OOC opponents are pathetic what good is it? Strength of schedule counts for something.
http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=681852 5 of the top 10 toughes schedules belong to SEC schools. A BIg Least school doesn’t check in until 21.
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/ncaa/06/19/schedules.top25/index.html Pretty much the same thing.
This letter is BS. Fresno has a lower SOS than either WVU or UL. WVU is 62
UL is 57
Fresno 92
Either Hill has figured out success or he has given up hope
3/12 or 3/15 whatever. The point remains the same. To criticize a successful conference as being unsuccessful is just plain silly. To each his own, nothing I am going to say will change your mind. Good luck this year.

Fresno State would go 17-0 in the Big Least
SEC owns all
WVU would be on par with the SDSU Aztecs if they were in the WAC
“Fresno State would go 17-0 in the Big Least”
Fresno has yet to win an outright WAC title.
“SEC owns all”
Can’t agree or disagree there.
“WVU would be on par with the SDSU Aztecs if they were in the WAC”
SDSU is not in the WAC.
The WAC is tougher than the Big East
The SEC does own all. Disagreeing is a futile position
WAC/Mtn West… who gives a shit really? Just two conferences that are filled by schools that weren’t good enough to get into the PAC 1+9.
Emos
I will be at the fresno state/wisconsin game this saturday and please watch what fresno will do to wisconsin..nothing against the badgers but just watch..Pat Hill is bas ass!!!!!
Lets not forget Pat Hill has not beaten a team that finished with a winning record in 2 years. 6 and 6 is not a winning record. 2008 will make it 3 years without a win against a team with a winning record.
Well, here we go again, losing to Hawaii and does anyone want to bet what is going to happen against Boise.
Hill has been head coach since 1997 and has a grand total of one LOWLY WAC championship in 1999.
Since Boise State joined the WAC in 2001, Fresno State is 1-6 (ONE AND SIX) against Boise State and 2-5 (TWO AND FIVE) against Hawaii.
If you can’t beat the teams in your conference you should be FIRED.
Pat always plays “not to lose”, and after all of these years has not figured out you need to open up the offense against the wide open Boise State and Hawaii offenses. What does it take Pat???
Inside the five vs. Wisconsin, run it up the middle, over and over and over. DUH!!! Failure, lost football game.
Fresno needs a new coach, but they also need a new university President to replace the totally incompetent Welty. Welty is too clueless to do anything about the athletic department which historically just does its own thing. How Welty can survive after $20MM plus discrimination awards is beyond me.
