Those comments don’t make any SEC secondary look very good. They way they talk Chris Leak couldn’t throw a football in the ocean. No report on his rumored low IQ, his 4.5 40 speed, throwing off of his back foot under perceived pressure or putting his head down for a hookslide to get that tough yard for a 1st down to keep a drive alive in the 4th quarter .

Last I checked, this site is a College Football Blog. This post has nothing to do with Pro Football but more so with Jai’s dislike for Chris Leak and his obsession with the Orange & Blue.
As T-KGB pointed out, every time a Gator and Vol fan engage in a conversation about QBs, 100% of the time the Vol fan will resort to a “Peyton Manning” defense. Granted, Manning is one hell of a QB in the NFL. He’ll be a first ballot HOF’er and break many, many more records. I like the guy. But the fact of the matter is that he never beat UF while he was in college and he never made it to an SECCG until his Senior year. But hey, if UT thought that was enough to name a street after him, that’s cool, too.
I wish Chris Leak well in the NFL, CFL, etc., – wherever he winds up. If he doesn’t make it in the NFL, so be it, that won’t bother me at all. It will never change the fact that he won us a NC and played especially good in the last game (and most important game) of his College Career. No one can take that away from us or him. And luckily for Chris, he doesn’t have to bank on years in the NFL to justify his abilities and to prove that he can win the big game. He’s already done that.

I don’t know who put this site together but apparently you didn’t watch college football in 2006 or the national title game because Chris Leak was obviously a great leader and quarterback in college football. Even though he was not the Heisman Trophy winner he was the MVP of the National Title Game and woopped up on the Heisman Trophy winner. This guy wins games period, end of story. As for his Pro Career, it will be different. His size and arm strength are in question for him to become a starter in the NFL. But even if he were to go to the Canadian football league many qbs have and have come back to the NFL to become Hall of Fame QBs. Warren Moon ring a bell. Back off Gator Hators!
