The Arkansas splinter is finally starting to fester
Here is the new filing by McAffee lawyer Eddie Christian. The contents of the attachment (link) will amaze you (as I know you have been keeping up). This is simply amazing to read. It is like a Robert Ludlum spy novel: surveillance, posses, surreptitious electronic communications. And who is “Granny”? Everyone seems overly concerned about “Granny”. Latest Hog Legal
It seeks to preserve computer files of Teresa Prewett, the Nutt friend whose angry e-mails helped triggered this controversy; Danny Nutt, and Sherry Darby, a friend of the Nutts and state employee whose e-mail the plaintiffs think supports their efforts. An FOI of Darby’s work e-mail (shades of Ron Quillin — don’t you bet some legislator is itching to close public e-mails next legislative session?) has opened a whole new window to this sordid mess.
The people at NC State, Alabama, and Miami probably knew enough to understand Nutt was damaged goods not worthy of leading a football program. He had been rumored to leave Arkansas for any of those schools last off-season.
At one point, he could’ve gotten on a plane to coach at one of the Top 5 programs in the United States over the last 40 years. Now, he couldn’t even get a job to be head coach at Nebraska-Omaha.
He’s got to hold on to this because it is all he’s ever going to get. The problem for him is the surrogates he’s chosen to do his dirty work. Like him, they aren’t the most intelligent people you’ll ever run into.
The smoking gun is out there. Nutt and his Posse aren’t smart enough to clean up everything.
Bottom line, though…without the FOI request, the cover up would have worked completely.
The emails at the end of the filing make my head swim. Here is what I took away from it, and I will re-read this again:
(1) Houston really wanted the Alabama job, and was going to take it immediately if offered — not happy at Arkansas, as he cannot recruit enough depth, one injury can ruin your season
(2) They were worried about the home computers being taken and examined — including Danny’s. Why would it matter to them, if Danny’s was taken — if there was nothing sinister going on
(3) They watch Hog message boards — they knew about Dana being in town, and the get together at Hutch’s — planned on being there to take pictures with their phone
(4) Dianna sat in her parked car, no far from the protest outside of the BAC — and sent e-mails messages to them about what was happenng
(5) They are not planning on giving certain e-mails, and they are going to say that they contained medical information about Danny and Mama Nutt

A.) I really wish Mitch would file harassment charges. These ladies are trash. “The Posse”, are you kidding me? Amazing.
B.) This still wont cause the lawsuit to go forward, state courts don’t have or want jurisdiction on NCAA law.
C.) I need to apply for a job at the state department, their standards obviously aren’t that high. What kind of idiot discusses that sort of stuff in e-mail correspondence, tries to delete e-mails but doesn’t delete others that have the deleted e-mails there in the reply thread. Stupid as hell.
D.) I’ll eat my crow, I honestly originally did think that the e-mail was just the work of a fat piece of stuff in LR that took a break from munchin on her nasty girlfriends carpet to harass a college QB, but apparently it goes much deeper than that.
Blast me, but I’m still not sold that HDN had personal involvement in the e-mail. From reading the latest filing I got the sense that the group of ladies view themselves as something special, a group of “power women” that can do whatever they want.
Jesus those women are scum.
If Alabama really wanted to win another National Championship, they should have hired Houston Nutt. He has been so successful at little ole Arkansas that Nebraska and LSU both tried to hire him. They were unsuccessful, but Alabama is so prestigious that Houston Nutt would go there in a heartbeat if Alabama were to ask him and he would start winning National Championships immediately. He would win as many National Championships at Alabama as Bear Bryant did. Houston Nutt is from Arkansas and Bear Bryant was from Arkansas.
all true Hog fans just need to hold the rope, and we will get what we deserve. HDN is the man, and he will lead us thru the wilderness and into the promised land as our dearly beloved Frank Broyles did – they are cut from the same cloth.

i haven’t been this troubled in a while, but i will keep the faith and hold the rope, as should all true Arkansas men and women
well, i shamefully admit that i too, as an Arkansas fan, almost lost hope. but when i read what coach nutt said in his news interview the other day, “he that fights and runs away, may live to fight another day,” that got me fired up all over again! i will not give up on arkansas! if hdn can stay the course, i will too! i call on all true hogs to stay the course!!
If he needs help, some of them Bowdens is steel looking for jobs. we can get them off of the streat
How long can Nutt take the punishment being doled out by the liberal press and traitorous “fans” before he leaves for greener pastures? It is a question which should be on the minds of all true Arkansas fans. Let’s hope that he has shares the “tough skin” that he has instilled in his players, because he will need it to ignore the criticisms of the drive-by media and those who “claim” to be fans and friends of Nutt.
We now face our greatest test as we stand on the precipice of a civil war inside the WalMart family. The coming weeks will force every Sam’s Club member to make a decision; stand with Coach Nutt or stand against him. Coach Nutt and the Hogs have no interest in listening to the whining criticisms of Arkansas turncoats.

You have to understand all hawg fans just want to watch football games… I thougth “e-mail gate” was done 7 months ago.
I just can’t believe anyone would be dumb enough to document this stuff through e-mail. I can’t believe anyone is dumb enough to want their e-mails that badly either though.

Good lord – I was just at http://www.razorbacktalk.com reading this stuff and I can’t believe what I am seeing. I thought the fans were some of the problem before but it seems to me the fans aren’t so ignorant afterall, their just pissed and have been since last September.
The only championship Nutt will ever win is the SunBelt championship this year. Oh, by the way, Houston, I OWN you!
