Mel Kiper said on ESPN radio today (8/18/07) that until someone (Fuck off Auburn) proves that they can beat the Gators (Fuck off Auburn) the Gates should be ranked number 1. He said the offense is going to be explosive and D is young but stacked. The more I think about his point I kind of agree that the national champ should be ranked number 1. He went on to say that if they aren’t the number #1 team this year, then somebody will prove it, but let them prove it on the field and not let media people decide who it is.
What would be a travesty is if USC, West Virginia and Florida go undefeated. USC and West Virgina get the nod because they were ranked higher than UF. Or would it be a travesty? SOS was taken out of the BCS formula a couple of years ago. A plus for WVU since their SOS is in the 50s. So without getting emotional (Eers) here is the no-shit explanation of why you suck [WVU sucks] and DO NOT deserve to be in the BCS national championship.
