Part two of Leon’s quest to talk with Erik Ainge and his finger by ‘summoning” them [Part one is here]:

(8/31/07) I looked into why me listening to a radio program that was talking about the ainge injury right before I drifted off to bed may have caused me to dream about it. It seems there is something called Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dreaming.

To answer a few of your questions I don’t know why I was thinking about it…. or why I was consciously thinking about it that is because we all know that your brain is thinking about a lot of stuff that never makes it to the striatum then to the cortex then to our actual concious thoughts.

I do know that dream are a powerful thing. I am going to try and get Ainge to visit again tonight in my dream and I am going to try and deliver a message to him regarding Cal fans disrepect and ESPNs disrepect to our players and our program. If you would like me to deliver a message to Ainge, or perhaps any other player that I can use Mnemonic Induced Lucid Dreaming to contact please let me know.

So long as the message is positive I will be glad to deliver it. I would appreciate any requests make it in by 5:00pm today because I will likely be nodding off quite early tonight because I am so excited to get to meet more players in my sleep. I may even try and call upon Fulmer but we shall see.

and the results of his Quest (9/1/07):

I did have a dream about noodling for catfish and some random person with a tee martin jersey on that I was noodling with kept telling me that it was awesome what tennessee did out in california.  He also said that he loved it when Chavis used the formation where “everyone looked liked jumping beans”, so I assume we are going to use that again.  I asked about Ainge leaving in the first quarter and he started laughing really hard.  THe second part that I remember is jumbled.

Bank on it folks.  From my sources this looks like an easy win.  Lets hear it for the vols.  I am already knocking back my favorite gameday drink as I type.  Its called the Jorge’ Dickel.  Its Dickel on the rocks with a splash of Tequila.  Try it.  It is awesome!!  If you want to know what the man himself drinks (Fulmer that is….) it Beefeater gin and tonic with extra olives.  I usually have one of those right before kickoff.
