More on PAC 10 Officiating

I bitched about the PAC 10 Officiating in the Cal vs UT Game, somewhat tongue in cheek, but check this shit out from SEC hating Dennis Dodd [CBS]:

• The Cal-Tennessee game featured Pac-10 head linesman Dan Antonietti who was one of those suspended following the Oklahoma-Oregon game last year.

Head linesman Dan Antonietti and side judge Dave Curschman were part of the officiating crew that worked the Oklahoma-Oregon game last weekend. The conference suspended the entire officiating crew and instant replay officials for one game due to errors that contributed to Oregon’s 34-33 victory. However, the suspensions were staggered so that not all of the officials would be unavailable on a single weekend.

I read that the PAC-10 has a bylaw that doesn’t allow visiting teams to bring their own officials. Talk about having “it” your way….stacking the deck….homecooking. Ask Oklahoma what they think of PAC 10 officiating.

  1. I heard the same thing about the PAC-10′s bylaws only allowing home cooking officials. Supposedly OU was refusing to play any more OOC games at PAC-10 sites until they got that shit rectified.

  2. I think the best thing to do in situations like that is to get a crew from another conference. i.e. SEC vs Big East = Big 10 officiating crew.

Where do they get the crews for BCS bowl games. Do they mix them up from other conferences?

  3. Yeah, in all bowl games they zebras are from neutral conferences.

SEC vs. Big East the only crew I would trust is from the Big 12. Every other conference is secretly conspiring and plotting against the SEC. Sometimes it sucks to be the king.

Anyone, besides Beano Cook, know who refs ND or any independent’s games?

  4. I don’t think it matters the way other teams bone ND and the rest of the 1-A independants.

  5. Love that kangaroo. “Hey, kid, do you mind, I’m kinda busy here…. Wait, is that corn? Now that you mention it, I am sort of hungry”.

  6. Indeed, that is how we roll in Morgantown, bang-eat-bang
