The raw and numbing journey of self-discovery of two young Gates [Gatorsports]. In 2007, two young men hire on as football players in the Florida Swamp. What I learned this weekend:
1. Clearly, West Virginia is the #1 team in the Nation, hands down. I mean, c’mon. They just won 2 weeks in a row, on the road, in stadiums of 50,000+, against their 2 rivals. Wow.
2. Urban Meyer’s gimmicky offense will never work in the SEC because the defenses are too fast.
I’d just like to add…
3. Tim Tebow is a glorified fullback that can’t throw.
4. Gator defense is pourous and will not be as good as last year’s unit.

The run defense impressed the hell out of me. To hold Tennessee to fewer rushing yards then Troy & Western Kentucky was just awesome!
Tebow impressed me because he kept his composure (i.e. after the first 2 drives went nowhere, after throwing the INT, when backed up on your own 1 and hitting Percy in stride for a 49-yd. gain, etc.)
Granted, it’s only 1 game. But this was a huge statement and hard not to get excited. Basically, Urban flipping the bird to everyone who said his system wouldn’t work and doubting him because he doesn’t have Zook’s players anymore.
