I think we have all the potential in the world and that we COULD or eventually be able to play with any team, but what about right now? I think we are playing top 10 ball, but if you look at what teams like LSU, USC, Oklahoma & Florida are doing, it seems that they are already peaking. Could it be that Virginia Tech, Nebraska & Tennessee are just really bad teams or a combination of things?
Right now, our offense hasn’t even come close to it’s potential and Rod is purposely holding back, the line is trying to come together, etc. Our kicking game is borderline awful, but I know Pat can kick, so it will be back. The defense is showing promise, but how would they perform against the big boys?
I don’t believe in the Oklahoma hype for one bit.. if they get to the title game and play USC, LSU or my Eers.. they’ll get killed. ESPN may help us by taking us out of the national spotlight (they are doing a great job of it right now). We can fly under the radar for awhile and we can start to peak in November. Just in time for a trip to New Orleans.

Auburn flew under the radar for most of 2004, we saw how that worked out.

I think everyone realizes that even if they can manage an undefeated season…
Their strength of schedule won’t allow them to get into the MNC game…

wishful thinking on your part. tebow and co. have faced only one bcs opponent….without their best WR. i’m not saying that the gators will continue with performances like the one on saturday, but they definitely are not ‘peaking’ as you suggest.
The Gates offense on Saturday will score more than Tebow on the SAT. And the defense will hold The Mascotless to less points than Chris Leak’s Wonderlic.

‘Eer’s posts are like the kid who sat the bench in little league, but he always got put in for the last 2 innings because the rules stated he had to play. Then, when in the game, all the kid did was sit down in the outfield and play with the grass while everyone else had their head in the game. That kid was good for nothing. Just like ‘Eer’s posts.
