South Florida is the best team in that F’d state

Why can’t we cut off Florida and let it drift away in the ocean? Or use for gunnery practice? I want you SEC dicks to notice that we Big Easters stick together. I will pull for the Bulls the rest of the way.  It is too bad that the Gators don’t play the Bulls.  The Bulls would dominate Tebow and his 30 rushes to the middle.

Lets look at how stats can be confusing from the WVU/USF game

1st Downs21-13
Total Yards437-274
Passing249-135
Rushing188-139
Penalties1-115-40
3rd Down Conversions5-176-14
4th Down Conversions3-61-1
Turnovers64
Possession34:3825:22

WVU had 437 TOTAL yards and USF had 274. BUT USF in those 274 yards produced 2 offensive touchdowns. in all 437 of WVU yards they produced one offensive touchdown.

If we look at the clock, WVU produced about 12 yards (average) per minute of possession. USF produced about 11 yards (average) per minute of possession

USF also had forty yards of penalties added to them, compare that to just 11 by WVU

You look at the Stats of the two (by now probably former) Heisman hopefuls from WVU. Their major scorers were held to about 100 yards combined. So they had to have other people run the ball, and did so in a way that was not effective.

you can look at stats and see a lot of things.

I look at those stats and see that West Virginia is almost as good as advertised. Think of it this way…

WVU lost by 8 without the full services of Pat White and Steve Slaton. Do you think that if Pat White and Steve Slaton weren’t playing from start to finish that they would have kept it to 8?

WvU didn’t capitalize on the opportunities they had against USF.

Oh, and one last thing about stats….I was talking about a situation where the winning team clearly dominated the stats but didn’t win by as much as the stats would have you believe.

  1. PWNED

  2. Love the picture

  3. And yet the stats tell alot…

Clearly, WVU benefitted from Jarrett Brown’s play in the second half once he settled in…

The WVU offense was clearly ineffective with White in the backfield…

Brown’s ability to actually pass the ball affected the Bulls defense more so than anything that White offered up…

If White doesn’t get back quickly, expect there to be a QB controversy in Bangyoursisters-town…

Brown showed he can handle the offense as effectively as White and isn’t afraid of hard hitting defenses unlike the Eer big three of White, Slaton and Devine…

As shown by the lost fumbles that were busted loose by that USF D…

The “template” is clear for the Mountaineers…

Hit them in the mouth and they fold like an 8 year old orphan girl…

  4. first, nice pic. Should have been a Tiger pooping on the gator. A tiger poops on them last week and a tiger will ass-rape them next week.

I bet on WVU winning out. Meyer drew up the blueprints for how to get in the big game w/ 1 loss.

  5. Nice honest assessment of the game Angry

  6. The problem is that the Meyer plan for a one loss MNC won’t work for the Eers…

The Gators had a WAY stronger schedule last year than WVU is playing this season and the added benefit of the SECCG…

In addition to not dropping out of the top ten with their lone loss…

Maybe a BCS bowl for the Eers if they win out…

    But no BCS Champ game…

  7. AP Poll = SEC Bias
WVa loses to a ranked team drops from 5 to 13. (8 spots)
UF loses to a unranked team drops from 4 to 9. (Only 5 spots)
LSU beats Tulane, F’NG TULANE, takes over top spot.

  8. It sounds like you are saying you will no longer pull for WVU, and jump on the USF bandwagon. Way to bleed those school colors Eer.

I also like the comment about how you Big Leasters stick together. Does that mean that you no longer hate Louisville or no longer think they suck? Your writing is about as wishy washy as used toilet paper.

  9. careful or we’ll send syracuse at your QUeers

  10. 7

You are a douche, the business end of the douche bottle

  11. When we destroy Croom:

    WVU>MSU>Auburn>Florida

  12. eer…getting back to your critique of the game…..you still lost.

  13. So did Florida.

  14. Ears & Eer:

‘hippy is right. UF’s SOS was #1 in the nation last year when all was said and done with 10 of their 12 regular season opponents going to bowl games.

Side note: In UF’s 2 National Championship Seasons(’96 & ’06) they have played the Nation’s toughest schedule each time.

  15. 14, you really need to link a statement like that. That stinks like Florida’s diverse play selection

  16. AngryEer:

Of course you’re going to pull for USF the rest of the way. They’re the Big East’s last hope for any respect after Rutgers, Louisville, and your beloved ‘eers have all lost.

Play the stat game if it makes you feel good to count this as a moral victory. So be it. Actually, the backup QB didn’t play all that bad with the exception of the one INT.

  17. AngryEer:

Pay attention, fucker! Ears W. was stating that the “Urban laid the blueprint for 1 loss teams last year”. I then pointed out that the blueprint is to play a tough schedule – something that WVU doesn’t do.

Florida’s play-calling has NOTHING to do with that post. As I pointed out in another thread, IMO Mullen’s play-calling the past 2 games has been horrible. You’re just trying to deflect attention away from your team’s loss and instead on the Gators’ loss. Pathetic.

Look in the mirror. You should be more concerned with the “Master of the spread” aka Coach Rod’s play-calling during the USF game. Why would you have your backup QB drop back to pass so much instead of handing off to Slaton and Devine? They’re so “fast” right? Well, USF’s defense was tougher and faster.

Thanks for coming to my state in order to watch your team lose. Hi 5s all around!

  18. I didn’t know that a big east defense could get 6 turnovers in a game. High 5′s all around!

  19. Pay attention, fucker!
I bet Bo Pellini was paying attention. What? Tebow just ran up the middle again.

  20. And WVU just fumbled again…

  21. And WVU just cleared the space for another Gator Bowl trophy in the trophy case….

  22. Better bring kleenex to LSU. Meyer is going to get sand in his labia

  23. Wait a second, Eer…

Remember this post is about WVU and USF…

    There’s no deflecting…

    This just in…

A door just slammed on WVU campus…

Noel Devine shart himself because he though the Bulls defense had followed him home…

  24. shart?
    Sharts?
    Sharted?

  25. AngryEer

Your writing sucks. Your analysis of “WVU>MSU>Auburn>Florida” sucks, because WVU has not even beat MSU yet (which they probably will, but that still remains to be seen). You trying to deflect attention away from WVU’s loss to UF losing sucks. Basically man, you and your entire inbread state suck.

With your pathetic conference being exposed as the sissy boys that they are, I can slightly understand being upset. Given that WVU lost to the only ranked team they will play this year (assuming that mighty Rutgers will lose again before playing WVU), WVU has as much chance of climbing back up in the rankings and competing for the NC as Notre Dame.

With WVU’s hopes of a January bowl completely shattered, try not to kill yourself, and please, do everyone here a favor. “STOP FUCKING WRITING”

  26. Wait…Did a fan of West Virginia called Florida “that F’d State”

    That’s funny.

  27. The correct spelling is “inbred”.

  28. Angry, fuck the fags on this site. Your totally right in your post.
And any real football fan knows what you mean when you say your pulling for USF from here on out. If your a WVU fan of course you would. I am. USF and WVU win out. USF plays in the National Champ Game as one of two undefeated teams left in the league. WVU plays the Orange Bowl and the Big East goes 5-0 again this year in bowl games.

  29. High 5, Bob. I just finished up a whale of a post for tomorrow that is the blueprint to our Eers singing Country Roads in NOLA!!!

  30. Have fun at the Meineke Car Care Bowl, Eers

  31. where is the car care bowl played?

  32. In the Queen City… fitting place for the queens in Morgantown.

  33. There is precedent for WVU playing in Charlotte, NC. In 2002, they played in the then Continental Tire Bowl (now the Meineke Car Care Bowl, but still as “prestigious”). Nothing says tradition and bowl game fanfare like what goes on at the (Insert Auto Comany Here) Bowl in Charlotte. Look forward Mountaineer fans, Charlotte and Jacksonville are almost your second homes. You guys should be familiar with the terms “Grand Slam Breakfast” and “Scattered, Covered, Smothered”…

  34. Angry Eer, that blueprint would involve the following teams losing more than two games:
LSU; Alabama; the SEC East except Vanderbilt (including perennial SEC doormat/ basketball school Kentucky, which beat Big East powerhouse Louisville); USC; Oregon; Cal; Oklahoma; K-State; Missouri; Nebraska; Texas; Appy State; Michigan; Michigan State; Purdue; The OSU; Wisconsin; South Florida (“kicking Big East ass since 2005″); Boston College; Virginia Tech; Clemson, and perhaps a couple of other teams I’ve overlooked. Right now, the Big East’s championship hopes are non-existent (as are the Heisman chances), and the best they can do is South Florida beating up the ACC champion in the Orange.
As for winning out the rest of the way, anyone can get Croomed, Louisville still has an offense, and WVU’s still got no pass defense. Charlotte’s a nice day drive from Charleston and Mo’town.
As a firm believer in media conspiracies, if Notre Dame won out (HAH HAH HAH), they’d get a BCS bid before Cincinnati got a second one.
But seriously darling, if you cut Florida loose, where would WVU’s talent come from? (Mobile area, home of Pat White= Florida Panhandle.)

  35. I’m betting Noel Devine transfers to USF over the summer just to keep those guys from hitting him anymore…
