It’s “funny” how the PAC 10 and SEC schools have more coaches that vote in the poll and they favor the teams from their conference. BE has only 8. There is no way Oregon deserved to jump up 5 slots having lost and then a bye week, no way at all. USC is not a top 10 team. If you lose to Stanford at home, you are not in the top 10 best. South Carolina didn’t get much love in the coaches’ poll because most of the coaches dislike Spurrier. There is a huge difference for them in the AP poll.

I like it. Another landmark win for my EERs over another SEC school, the cherry on the cake would be a win over a underachieving and overrated defending champion. It is still early though. USF could handle BC, but I’m not sold on them winning the ACC just yet.
While I would like to see a WVU- FL matchup just so that I can serve you Gators a six pack of STFU, my Eers really need to make a statement. We really should play a team that most people think will beat us and that ain’t Florida. Most rational pundits would favor WVU over Florida. I believe that a game with an undefeated LSU would be a better challenge.
Here are my thoughts on how my EERs make the NC against LSU. LL, can I get a high 5? You Gator fans may as well support my Eers now, right? You are not going to make it to NOLA. Take a gander:
Oklahoma loses to Missouri this weekend
BC to VT the following THR 10/25 — they’ll lose at least 2
South Carolina loses at TN 10/27 — they’ll lose at least 1-2 more
Southern Cal loses at Oregon 10/27
Ohio St loses in November (Wisc/Ill/Michigan)
USF loses to Cincy 11/3 or (Rutgers/Louisville)
Cal loses to USC 11/10
Missouri loses to Oklahoma Big 12 Championship
Flip/Flop the Oklahoma/Missouri scenario if you want, either way Missouri needs to win one against OU either this weekend or in the Big 12 Championship.
Possible disaster would be Florida winning out, beating LSU in the SEC Championship, Oregon winning out.

Here’s your mug of STFU. SEC has 7 votes in the coaches poll. PAC 10 has 5. Big East has 4. Big 10 has 9, ACC has 6. With the exception of the Big 10 Votes do any of those numbers mean anything to you? Does the term 50% come to mind? Could it be that most of the conferences see around half of their coaches vote in the Poll? Why is that so “funny?” How bout the Big East rounds out their conference with more teams just like the rest of the country…yeah how about that.
