Following his loss to Vanderbilt:
“Vandy is a darn good team, they’ve lost 3 games to Bama, Georgia and (some other good team). If they played 3 easy teams they’d be 6-0 and be sitting up there where Ohio State is.”
He was clearly implying that OSU doesn’t deserve to be up there because they don’t play anyone, but he didn’t precisely say that.

Gotta love the OBC — I wonder if he’ll get taken to task as much as Les Miles did for criticizing USC’s schedule over the summer. My guess is that he probably won’t take as much heat for this, as the Big Ten really does suck this year, and the Pac-10 really doesn’t suck this year. Still, I’d like to see both teams play in a conference championship game. It is likely if LSU beats Alabama, that they will meet Florida again in Atlanta. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t have to play for a conference title, especially in the Big 10 — at least in the Pac 10 you have to play everybody, but there have been so many ties in the Pac 10 over the last few years when it was clear that USC was the best team.
Or were they?
I find this comical. The Ohio State schedule is indefensible, and not even the most ardent OSU supporter can say anything about their competition. But, they haven’t done one thing, and that’s lose to an unranked team – at home no less.
If ifs and buts, were candy and nuts. Oh, IF Vandy would have made a few plays, they’d be undefeated. If MSU converts on a 4th down, and if they stop NW, they’d be undefeated too. OSU schedule is weak, but don’t use that as a defense for losing to a horrible team at home. And not just losing. Getting your doors blown off.
the HBC-the only good thing ever to come out of Tennessee. I also would not call Vandy a horrible team. Vandy is going to give Tennessee all they want.
