Hey Hack, love your website and your insight. That being said, I don’t think Mr. Saban is welcome in the NFL after making the dolphins even worse than they were with the wannstache.
Saban chose Bama because Wayne was going to fire him from the Dolphins after another year anyways, and he didn’t believe he could ever turn that team around. He was a disaster in the NFL.
That being said, Saban’s got Bama performing better than anyone thought was possible, but don’t think that anyone is jealous, or that any one team “deserves” to be on top anywhere. There’s too much parity in NCAA I-A these days, every team is on regional or national TV at least once a year; kids don’t have to go to Michigan, Bama, or Florida State anymore to get noticed or to be a star.
Wouldn’t that be something if Bama got put on probation, suffer from a loss in scholarships, and still had to shell out $4m a year in gauranteed money to a head coach that wasn’t able to do as good as Shula due to NCAA imposed restrictions?
