1. LSU…I called it here first – that inconsistent Arkansas beats LSU…if they don’t, UGA will (if they make the SECCG). Somewhere, LSU will lose focus. I hope that I am wrong, but I feel it.
2. UGA…Playing great football the past few weeks, best in SEC right now. The little Chiquita, Moreno, is learning how to become a great SEC back. Note to self: The pre-planned TD celebrations on the sidelines are geigh.
3. Auburn…their defense got shredded, that really shocked me. Won’t matter in a couple of weeks, when Sarah Jessica John Parker Wilson tries to break Brodie Croyle’s sack record.
4. Florida…this team is severely beat up…baaaad. Florida fans? What happens to the offense if Tebow ever gets hurt? Herban running up the score on the Cocks was really classy. It will come back and haunt him someday. Or does Herban need to pad his resume with coaching a Heisman winner too?
Maybe Herban Meyer should just let his coaching staff know who is in charge. And just maybe Tebow should become a team player and stop trying to beat a record, any record…there is no i in team…and everyone needs to know that.
5. Tennessee…My gut tells me not to make hotel reservations for Atlanta. Oh McFadden, the Heisman “not yours” at least not in Neyland…I am afraid that my Vols are going to fall short against UK.
6. Kentucky…a pretty good team, 8-4 is realistic. Doesn’t have the depth to do it all year long, but can match most teams when it comes to starters making them always dangerous.
7. Miss State…I told ya this team was going bowling, they are playing well. Right Bama? Better lock up Croom to a long term contract. Rumor is that Mal-Function Moore is unhappy with the 4 million dollar man….
8. Alabama…Saban Nation, I predict a 41-0 Tide victory this weekend over hapless LA-Monroe. It could be worse but Saban is too classy and will call off the dogs early. I can’t explain why Bama women only fall down on game day, but please Nick, help those bama women just this once, win big this weekend! See you at the Weedeater Bowl, Cheaters!!
9. Arkansas…One word: MUSTAIN!!! The inability to consistently move the ball through the air did Nutt in. Probably overachieved last year which doesn’t help.
10. Vandy…plays with heart most of them time, just not that good. Since he isn’t working on Saturday, can Jay Cutler can QB them this weekend?
11. South Carolina…this team has quit…I’m seeing flashbacks of the Lou Holtz teams of the late 90’s. Kings of the moral victory. Spurrier ruined us all by claiming they were good enough to win SEC.
12. Ole Miss…some say Batshit Crazy Ed has recruited well, he better show it! And why are they on National TV against LSU? Somebody at CBS wants Orgeron fired!!

You really do love Alabama Jai. Your posts shout your obession. Anyone who reads them knows this. You can’t hide your love. It is actually rather touching – sort of like the way you touch yourself when you think about Alabama.
I wish UF had a RB that didn’t suffer from “fumble-itis”. But it’s like no matter who Meyer puts in – Moore, Fayson, James – each one of them fumbles at some point. So for now, Tebow has to shoulder the majority of the running load. Hopefully the addition of Emmanuel Moody changes that next year.

Oh, those cheating Bammers! Looks like they went ahead and paid off another top prospect in Tennessee. After taking the # 1 rated player in TN (Barrett Jones), they go ahead and get a commit from the # 7 rated player (Dont’a Hightower). AND they are in the top 2 for another top player (Chris Jordan), who incidentally also has Clemson in the running.
Those two recruits must have been paid to commit to UA. UA can never do anything positive without cheating. I truly believe this, even as a grown man. Even if they didn’t cheat, they’re probably thugs that can’t read. Wait, Jones has over a 4.0 and a 30 on his ACT? Hightower also was considering Vandy? But, still…

Kareem Jackson (freshman) making an incredible pick against highly touted Eric Ainge has nothing to do with the refs. Neither does him getting another one against your up and coming QB after the starter gets yanked for getting dominated. A sign of things to come.

I’m torn at the moment.. I have a great feeling UGA will beat KY this weekend, not a blow out, but by atleast a TD or so.. TN might drop it to KY after they wax Vandy..
Here’s the problem. When your team is out, usually it’s all SEC from here. However, UGA has the almost given chance for the Sugar Bowl, even without TN dropping to KY or Vandy. However, I don’t want to play some shit ball’d Hawaii, or WVA or any of those worthless bags of crap..
But, I want to see UGA take a chance at the SEC Title game, because Lord knows, LSU would rather play TN, than UGA at the moment. But if UGA wins, it’s good for winning the SEC Champ, but bad, because then we don’t have a SEC team in the NC for the 2nd year in a row.
So, I don’t know where to let to ducks fall.. I’d probably be fine with whatever.. Unless they go to SEC and lose, and then play in “Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. No Name Bowl.”

I’m asking you to man up and admit that your team (UT – I had to clarify for everyone here b/c you only seem to talk about UA) got spanked on the field, with no cheating involved. You have yet to do that in almost a month. Instead, you chose to make baseless comments about Bama paying the refs. Either back up that claim with more than “Bama’s always a cheater” or man up. I can admit that we got Croomed fair and square, why can’t you admit that your team (again, UT, NOT UA) got spanked?
Oh, and Vandy is the least penalized team in the league. Are they cheaters, or just very disciplined? Think about that and apply to your 6 and 4 comment.

Still can’t admit that Bama waxed 10RC? They definitely didn’t need the refs help, especially when Fulmer decided to punt on 4th down with just a few minutes remaining in the game, thus conceding defeat. In fact, we probably could have used those refs’ help when they called that “late hit” that put TN in field goal range before the half. That’s when they scored the last points that they would score all day. Remember that? You don’t need refs when you shut out a team in the second half. Oh, and put 41 up on them. Just man up, Jai, and I will be gone forever.
Oh, and for the record, see who brings up the Bear. I’ll give you a hint – not a Bama fan. But yet we are vilified for not forgetting him. I guess if he coached against my team, I wouldn’t forget, either.

I am not a fan of UA or UT but i will admit that the late hit at the end of the 1st half of the UA UT game was a horrible call. That guy was in bounds by at least a yard (and it looked like more to me).
As for UA and Ole MS, I think the play at the end of the game with the reciever being out of bounds was way to close to overturn. But it did look like to me that the defender was out of bounds when he touched the ball (and he did touch it first, not the reciever which was what the refs said after the replay) which would render the play dead. But it was SO close i don’t see how they overturned the call on the field that it was a catch.
In this day and age, it is hard for me to believe that any school can get away with the type of cheating (minus recruiting violations) that bama has been accused of. I think if any school has bought of some refs it would be Auburn (and i am an Auburn fan). Some of the calls i have seen them benefit from this year were down right embarrasing (like the late hit on Cox-sucker during the Ga game that lead to Auburns first touchdown).

Speaking of a sad state of affairs, it’s sad that Bama is paying like 3 million more this year for its coach than it did last year and at the very most that will only translate to 2 – count ‘em! –> 2 more victories than last year (but probably only 1 after they lose to Awbun). And that’s even with the 27-2 first downs via penalties advantage that the refs have given them this year that Jai pointed out.

I’m sure you know UF won the BCS title last season and you are referring to other seasons where the SEC eliminates itself from MNC contention. Anyway. Championships are all that matter, not BCS bowl victories that don’t earn you a MNC or BCS title or conference title.
If UGA wins out and plays in the Sugar against Haw/WVU, what does it matter besides money that’s shared with the rest of the SEC? It’s a glorified exhibition game when there’s nothing on the line other than pride. No MNC title or conference title on the line in that game.
No, you want UT to lose and for UGA to backdoor their way into the SEC title game. You want UGA to win the SEC title, not the Sugar Bowl against Hawaii. MNC/BCS national titles are only accomplished by virtue of winning the SEC title for SEC teams. Goal #1 is to win the SEC title and then let the chips fall where they may.
There’s #1 and then there’s everyone else. Every SEC fan should want the SEC title first. At-large bids with no conference title seem a little empty to me. Then again, it’s not about me, but about the players that have buster their ass all season. I’m sure the players would rather play in a BCS game regardless, but I’ll bet you they’d rather win the SEC title first.
One of you DA’s shouold write a story about the SECCG is more important than the NC.

100% Bama fan. I owe that University more than I can ever pay back to it, both as an undergrad and grad student and the way they have treated me and my family in tragedy.
I don’t know where I would have given the impression that I am anything but a Bama fan, and I am still asking for that objective answer to my question posed about Bama cheating on various threads. All I have asked is for an answer other than “well, Bama cheats” to refute my explanation that maybe Bama has been the beneficiary of the penalty disparity due to proper coaching and discipline. Hell, even “look at the MSU game and tell me Saban’s a good coach” would be better (I would have an argument to that as well, but let’s go there at a different time).
I love the University of Alabama. I also enjoy the football program. I have openly admitted that Alabama cheated in the past, that they were caught, and that they served very tough time because of it. Why can Jai and others not look at this objectively and give me a real reason as to why there are penalty discrepancies?
If you truly believe that Bama is cheating and paying the refs, I will leave you alone if you just post something to the effect that you, as a grown man, capable of reasoning at an adult level, truly are of the opinion that The University of Alabama is paying referees in order to win games, especially the Tennessee game this year, and in no way could the coaching of UA’s players to be disciplined to refrain from committing penalties be the cause of such penalty discrepancy.
If you can truly say this, (not just cut and paste, really think about what you are conveying when you type it out) then I know that I have no hope of ever changing your mind and I will just take the cheating comments with a grain of salt.

Oh Roberth, if you really want to count those retroactively awarded titles (all of which can be disputed) then yes, you need more than hands to count them. Auburn has retroactive NC’s from those years too, they just choose not to count them. But if you want to count them, it should be noted that Auburn would have 7 NC’s.

However, I guess my question was answered in a roundabout way. Since no one could come up with a legitimate explanation for Bama’s penalty disparity other than the one I provided, I guess I should infer that my suggestion was indeed correct. Since no objective argument was made to disprove my theory, I guess I was right and Bama is not cheating. Though I’m sure there will be plenty of baseless, unprovable “Whatever, Bama cheats” comments in response. And Bama fans are branded as delusional.
If recent moderate Bama success causes this, I can’t wait to see what happens in a few years when the ball is really rolling. I can’t wait to see how our recruiting class turns out, but it sure is looking great right now, especially with the verbal commit of another one of TN’s finest today. If Saban can take a mediocre team with Shula hangovers and be competitive, I cannot wait to see what he can accomplish with true blue chip athletes.

The wording was wrong, or my punctuation was.. I know Florida won the NC last year. I was trying to say, that in that instance, we wouldn’t be able to have an SEC team win it for the 2nd year straight..
I’m personally leaning towards UGA putting it in UT’s rear, and sliding in the back door when they drop another game. But then, I don’t think it’s really back dooring anything when you have a better record on paper.

I don’t know what’s up with those Krystal commercials either. They have to look hard to find chicks that non-hot on a college campus. I honestly think it’s malecious. Like the talent scout is a UF or Auburn guy. If that’s true, it’s genius.
I have yet to see a hot chick on those commercials and, yes, they all look like they “get their own sack” at Krystal. The marketing makes sense. Why would you market Krystal to hot, in shape college girls? No, you want to be the comfort food solution for the chubby ones.

The one problem I had with chubby girls is that they grab your crotch in a scary way if you dance with one at a bar. I just want to have a good time and here you go with the crotch grabbing.
