UL-Monroe? What the hell?

I would be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy seeing the ULM-UAT score go final.  But I only enjoyed it for a little bit.  Being the SEC-centric guy that I am, I immediately started thinking about the damage to the conference.  You can probably still hear AngryEer laughing, since the Big East is really just the Sun Belt on steroids.  The damage to the SOS to all of Bama’s opponents will hurt in the BCS rankings.  UGA’s win over UAT doesn’t look good now, if anything it looks bad that powerful UGA had to squeak by a team that lost to ULM.  I would love to see LSU win the NC and UGA destroy a Big 10 sacrificial lamb in another BCS game, but that may not happen now.  Thanks Tide.

When crawling the internets, I started to enjoy the Alabama loss once again.  The joy I gained was from the pure comedy of the Bammeroids giving justification for their loss to mighty Louisiana-Monroe.  Some of the reasons, in no particular order for the loss to the Warhawks:  Shula’s recruiting, “Fat Fulmer for getting us on probation,” the “Shula mentality” of the players, Roy Cramer, Auburn for taking half the talent base from the state, and my favorite… Prothro’s broken leg.  The explanation of all these “reasons” is comedy gold.

How long are the Bammeroids going to continue to throw other people under the bus for their own actions?

On the opposite end of the Bammeroid spectrum, there are those who remain stead-fast and loyal to the second coming.  “Coach Saban lost to UAB his first season at LSU, and he still beat Tennessee the next week.”  I think the next one sums up the entire Sabanation frame of mind, “we all need to remember that Coach Bryant was 1-9 in his first season at Texas A&M.”  Yes Bammers, continue to wear your houndstooth like a crown of thorns.

Never leave that 1979 state of mind, Bammers.  The Bear is looking down upon his chosen son.

From Bama-On-Line, the home of SEC class and tradition:

just went to lsu forum. you would think they are playing bama this week. most posts are bama related. you would not even know that they are #1. not much talk about that, just crap about bama. what is the love affair with bama. they want so bad for us to be a rival, but they do not understand that they are vapor to us!

Yes, I am sure LSU wants to be UAT.  Win out and play for the NC?  No way, I’m sure they would rather lose to a Sun Belt school.

Also, take note Ole Miss.  ULM got rid of their mascot, then immediately replaced it (ULM formerly known as the Indians).  Why can’t you do the same?

WTF Bama? This is the same team that gave North Texas aka a bunch of High school wannabes, their first and only win of the season.

It is by far the worst SEC loss of the season. First loss to a non-BCS conference team.

Why let the 20 players play coach O? It’s just the Egg Bowl, just let Miss. St. get to 7 wins and be done with it.

It’s Monday morning and I totally missed the Alabama loss this weekend. Holy crap. Bama lost to UL-M.

I really don’t know what to say. It’s like an adversary walked into a room and their fly is down and they’re giving a speech. You’re happy and slightly feel bad all at once.

Their loss brings the rest of us down. Now I’m a little pissed too.

WIll Throatslash be suspended for the first half against the Barn?

Why didn’t the Ole Miss players steal something that could be used for a mascot? Will have something tomorrow on that.

Coach Saban: UL Monroe isn’t in the SEC.

Saban: Really? Well they should be.

Suspensions lengths are like dog years to Saban. one half = 2 full games.

Alabama’s Nick Saban, college football’s highest-paid coach at $4 million a year, lost to Louisiana Monroe’s Charlie Weatherbie, the lowest-paid at $130,000
