Stinking Kentucky Coach Billy DonovanGillespie wishes he was back in the Big 10Big 12 where he coulda coached Texas A&M to a NIT Preseason Championship in dominating performance over Ohio St.
Mark Turgeon is the new coach of the Aggies and he is glad to stop rebuilding and glad to be improving on the foundation that Billy the soon-to-be-Kentucky’s-newest-scapegoat Gillespie built.
While Billy the Kid is finally playing again after the embarassing loss to Gardner-Webb, Mark Turgeon is poised to challenge Kansas and Texas for dominance over the Big 12. Mark Turgeon hasn’t really brought a lot to the table for this A&M team. I think the biggest thing is maintain the status quo, which is miles above anything A&M had before last year’s sweet 16 that ended in a loss to Memphis. Oh and he brought the Shocker from Wichita State. Everybody loves a shocker.

Meanwhile, Gillespie is supposed to be a God in Lexington. The Wildcat fans have smoked so much Kentucky Bluegrass, that they thing he can instantly shock the competition and bring them a national championship. The coach that they railroaded and bullied out of Lexington won a National Championship with Pitino’s guys his first year, so Billy should be able to do something bigger right? Maybe an NBA title or something? Perhaps he could clone Adolf Rupp and play all white players or something… I’m sure they’d love that.
The sad thing Billy is gonna fall on his face. Kentucky Basketball is going to take a back seat to Florida and Tennessee both this season, and in the seasons to come. Kentucky has been a blemish on the SEC for a long time except for Basketball. With the football team only slightly improving and the basketball team sliding, it’s only a matter of time before Mike Slive figures out that one or two of these 12 schools doesn’t belong, and you don’t have Vandy’s academics.
Good luck Kentucky. I’m sure the Pac-10Big East would take you. I think they’re trying to get to an even 20.

you said Billy Donovan in the first paragraph…
WTF?
yeah, I’m a dumbass
sounds like more wishful thinking to me… when it comes to basketball, UK IS the SEC.
