I mean who hasn’t shouted and cussed at passengers of a sport utility vehicle and challenged them to fight in a street about 2 a.m. on the Strip near the T-Town Ghetto? It’s not like he was caught with some weed and a gun, right?
Nick Saban wisely recognizes the importance of athletics in his player’s lives. I mean, it’s not like he tried to kill the President. He can’t be those boys’ daddy, besides Castille’s daddy is the Bama team chaplain.
Oh the hilarity of it all… Preachers kids are the worst…. Simeon was one of the team leaders designated as part of the Tide’s peer intervention groups, designed to discipline players if there was any wrongdoing.
A source close to the “program” explained “Education has never done nothing for these boys. They play football good and that is what is going to make them a star. Keeping these kids off the field is like taking the food out of their babies’ mouths.”
Do we expect these players to play tough on the field…but off the field they have to play by the rules..isn’t that a double standard? Can’t they all just have fun and party or just beat the hell out of others without fear of losing their “jobs”? I mean come one…no ones perfect!! Great players should be able to play no matter what their criminal record. Coaches have no right to take away their God given gifts to be FOOTBALL PLAYERS! Roll Tide Roll.
If Saban decides to continue with Castille’s punishment of “non-punishment” it will be what is best for the team. He is paid to win games. That’s not anyones business, thats between him and Mal. I for one don`t give a damn how good he is or how good the team plays, its not my business. Roll Tide Roll!
Nick Saban is a great man with exceptional hair (I wish he would not chew his nails). He is the best coach Bama has had since the Bear joined Jesus. He is gonna led the Tide to a National Championship (as long as LSU doesn’t pay him more $).
What you folks need to realize is that it don’t matter how Bama gets their 13th or 56th national championship or if they just keep it close in this year’s Weedeater Bowl in glamorous Shreveport, just as long as they get it!
Bammeroids don’t care if one of their players is caught in bed with a live boy or a dead girl, as long as they suit up and show class on Saturdays. Roll Tide!

Hey, this was a great article. Will there be a follow up on Lamarcus Coker? Or the walk on who was busted for crack (yes, crack)? Just wondering b/c it seems like you’d be able to talk about YOUR team a whole lot more if you wanted to make some articles about players getting arrested.
I mean, trumped up charges have nothing on making a new rule to allow a player an extra chance to not fail drug tests, and then seeing that player subsequently fail again.

Bammer…Coker and the walk-on are off the team. Coker was punished from all of the stuff I read. Castille, in the article itself, was never punished.

#16 & 17 – Why would he be punished for yelling at his own teammates. Take off the blinders and actually read the police report. He wasn’t doing anything but messing around with some of his teammates. Look, I’m not a fan of the Castilles and I’m glad to see him gone now (along with most of that class), but seriously, that was one of the most blown out of proportion incidents ever.
AngryEer – I don’t think you’re delusional and I’m glad your team is enjoying some success. However, one question for you – Can you tell me the year that you think college football started? My guess is your answer says sometime around 2003.
Don’t worry, I’ll man up and take my lumps – Bama sucked for the most part. I say for the most part b/c we sure did kick the shit out of UT this year. However, the nice part about sticking with your team through bad years is that it makes the good years all the better. I can’t wait to post here in 2 years and see the state of everyone’s team.
