Transcript of the Demonte Bolden Show (12/3/07-monologue)

Sup. My name is Demonte Bolden and this here is the Demonte Bolden Show. As you are well aware, I was not raised to finish second. Now I won’t be namin’ no names, but that skinny-ass know-nothin’ quarterback Erik Ainge done went and dechampionshipized our football team. That’s just unacceptable. I’m a champion dammit. Back after this commercial break, bitch.

  1. why the f do voters go strictly by wins and losses for every game except the last one? why vote on emotion then? you take out margin of victory from the equation for a reason, but cancel it out when you vote who makes the most sense economically and for what everyone wants. Well you dont change the system unless something catastrophic happens. You dont patch it up at the end and let it hold into the next year where hopefully, things will return to normal. based on voters every previous week, the 3 and 4 should be playing in the NC, no questions asked. Because no one was saying dick when you all had kansas ranked 1. This has got to be most disheartening to fans from less respected conferences that the man says you have a shot, but takes it from you on the last week of the season when they tinker with the system to make the results they want, not what it actually is.

  2. The BCS used to allow conf non-champs into the title game based on original formula (OU i/o USC in’03). It was the media/public that demanded more human input vs the computers to avoid same. Do we go back now? The voters are voting on the time frame of that particular week. Did anyone truly expect conf champion game winners that take that honor as well as pick up an additional win to not jump over the guys sitting home idle because their conference performance did not measure up to put them in the conf champ game to begin with?

    Kansas was what the voters said they were until they lost. Georgia’s arguement was weak esp since it sounded like it should put Kansas in since thay had one less loss.

    OSU-LSU-OU could draw straws or flip coins. Too bad someone missed out but those were the only real chioces.

    The only real screwing was Mizzou and that was the bowl committees, not the BCS.

  3. Crazy season. I’ve got the feeling this bowl season is going to play out a little like Dennis Green’s “They are who we thought they are.”;
    ie Oklahoma, USC, TECH, UGA, and OSU roll in the BCS, and the other bowls mostly play to the favorites.

  4. Mizzou got hosed…bad

    teh best team in Alabama,Troy State got it’s windsock tattered.

    1 TSU
    2 Barn
    3 UAB
    4 Bammer

  5. @4 Smacked by the mighty Owls of Florida Atlantic University coached by Howard Schnellenberger. Their first bowl appearance as a Div 1 school just 7 years from their first football season. Who cares? Well I do for one. Go Owls.
