Why would he want to go coach at Michigan? To coach slow teams in the cold, under gray skies, in front of the quietest 100,000+ fans in the nation?

This whole topic is just dumb.

Ears:

From what I've seen and read, that's my opinion.

Petrino is moving his family for the 2nd time in under a year because he wants to coach in the SEC. Because of the type of person he is, I wouldn't doubt it if he didn't even really consult his family on the move to Arkansas. I doubt his family is excited about another move.

Saban had a teenage daughter in Miami who was about to enter her senior year of high school and loved it there and didn't want to leave.

Now, having followed the Meyer hiring process, etc., at Florida, he's stated many times that he promised his kids and his wife that UF is their final stop. He doesn't like moving his family around at all and along with that his wife and kids love life in sunny Florida.

At the NC Celebration last January at the Swamp, Meyer told a story of about how 10 years ago he was on a recruiting trip for ND in Florida. He stopped in Gainesville and visited the campus and the Swamp and said that he said to his wife that eventually, this (UF) is the place where he wanted to be.

He's not going anywhere.
