I am ashamed of what I have seen and read on this website in the past few days. How could a West Virginian or a WVU alumni ever question his allegiance to the Mountaineers? I suspect many the visitors to this website are young and apparently not very mentally tough. A Mountaineer never, ever questions his allegiance to WVU nor to West Virginia. This shows disrespect to those Eers who came before you.
Check this, I love Mountie Football. I have a Pat White Fathead. I have a autographed Major Harris football in glass. I consider myself married to EER football, til death do us part!!
Oh yeah, fuck the SEC. Fuck Tebow and his Heisman. I was so hoping to increase our winning record over the SEC this year, but it was not meant to be.

The most appalling thing is that a loss to Pitt has brought this about. We should above all hate Pitt with a passion only exceeded by our love for the Mountaineers. To allow a loss to Pitt to destroy our fan base and cause us to question our own individual allegiance to WVU and West Virginia is unthinkable.
BCS and National Championships be damned, if those who made this University great and synonymous with the State can see this now they are very sad indeed. There are 119 teams in college football: ONLY 10 participate in the BCS bowls. Mizzou which has the same amount of loses as we do this season didn’t get a bid, even if they were the number 1 team the week before. WVU has been to two in the past 3 years and has been to New Year’s day bowls for the past five years. During the ninties WVU went to one BCS game… and lost. WVU has won 3 straight bowls, how many did we have before this 3 up streak?
This is the program with the most wins without a National Championship; you aren’t the only group to be disappointed. Where the hell do you think we would be if those before you would have acted as you have? We are the Mountaineers we eat fucking disappointment for breakfast, and we not a bunch of whining crybabies who turn on their team when they screw-up.
What makes us Mountaineers is that we never question our allegiance, to WVU, to West Virginia.

It is irrelevant. Live in the now. Since Meyer (and even to some extent with Zook) Florida has been a dominate football team. Their team this year would beat any team in the Big East. Get over it.

Eer if USF and Pitt were able to bottle up the WVU offense then so can the Florida defense. Also you can hate on Tim Tebow all you want, but at least he’s not soft. Pat “Pussy” White has come out of more games with bunk injuries then any qb I’ve seen. WTF was that shit against Pitt. Tebow would be in there on one leg if a trip to the NC was on the line.
Also like I’ve said before I am not an SEC homer. I am an alumni of VT and call them like I see them. I wasnt trying to hate on WVU but its silly by some people on here to even compare the Big East to the SEC. Eers are a great team, but they are not an elite program. They can take a big step in proving it if they beat up on Oklahoma.

On a side note, I would like to point out how ecstatic I was when sPitt shut WV”u” up in their own house. About 9 of my cousins and 2 of my uncles went on suicide watch after that game and I don’t mind to say I rubbed it in extra hard. I would like to extend a middle finger to the BCS goons who decided VT should not play WV”u” in the OB… bring the national guard, at least it will be a fun game.
