“This won’t affect us at all, if anything it will light a fire under our ASS to represent our family, the mountaineers…… We have many coaches with this team, not just Coach Rod, we will be fine. Today’s practice was one of the best we have had, and the practice was after the announcement!!!!” Fullback Owen Schmitt on WVU football……
I’m not upset as I thought I’d be over Rich Rodriguez’s pending departure. While I love what he’s done for the program, he is and will always be, in my mind, the architect of the worst loss in the history of our football program. My last memory will be of the debacle he orchestrated on 12/1. So while, in a way, it’s sad that he’s leaving, we kind of knew that this was the road we were bound to go down. Ever since his flirt last year with Alabama, it seemed like his days were numbered.
Anyway…just wanted to tell everyone…keep your heads up…wave your WVU flags proudly….and let’s show ‘em how to do things right in the Mountain state, let’s throw some fucking lumps of coal at his house.
Fuck you Rich Rod, I hope your dick falls off. Michigan? Better lock up your cheerleaders.

“So while, in a way, it’s sad that he’s leaving, we kind of knew that this was the road we were bound to go down.”
You’re full of shit, ‘Eer. You’ve posted on here since day one about how Rod is a West Virginia guy who would never leave.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Can you hillbillies really blame the guy? I have been to West Virginia a few times, and i have to say, outside of Huntington, the whole damn state is one sad and dismal place.
I think the reason Eer is so mean to Rod now is because of his love for the coach. He wants to hold Rod tight, but now that Rod is leaving he is going to push him away hard. All of Eers friends are telling him what an asshole Rod was and that he can do better, while Eer agrees with them one minute and then the next he lashes out and attacks them. “Don’t say that about my R Roddy!”
Don’t worry Eer, I prefer secretaries to cheerleaders.

Eer, don’t make me beat you with my tasty sammich…
I’d like to apologize for UGA giving WVU any hope and small reason to believe they belonged in any discussions about big boy football. That game has allowed the delusional thoughts that WVU is actually a historic and top-tier program. As we see now, as proved by their favorite son, RRod, WVU does not belong in any discussions of national titles.
The question is how? How did we let it get this far? How did WVU slide by as a player for 2 years? Well, it’s UGA’s fault. We could’ve kept their false hopes and dreams in perspective way back in 2005, but we failed. We failed the ourselves, we failed the SEC, we failed the Big East, we failed WVU and, more importantly, we failed all of college football. As odd as it may sound, WVU would be better off had they lost to UGA. At least then they would understand where they belong and always will belong. RRod would still be at his flaming couch-throne ruling the state had they lost to UGA. Now, operating under false hope, WVU has reached for a national title and was fallen by Pitt High School coached by Magnum P.I.’s ugly brother.
Now, RRod is going to Michigan to see what his offense can do with a roster full of guys whose first choice was Michigan as opposed to WVU’s roster full of guys who wanted to play somewhere else, but settled. Which reminds me of rule #1 in life: Don’t “settle” for a particular woman and marry her.
Let’s recap the WVU year:
- “We Are Marshall” was a great success
- Loss to sorry ass USF
- Lose to Pitt School for the Blind
- Lose biggest, most important game in school history
- Lose coach RRod, the only reason WVU is/was on the map in football.
- Lost RRod to Michigan, who lost to App St.
Our bad, WVU. Our bad for allowing you to believe.
Just keep backtracking and contradicting yourself, ‘Eer. We all find it very amusing.
Jon, don’t be so hard on yourself, Dude. It’s the Holidays.
Jon, it’s about time somebody in the UGA camp owned up and accepted blame allowing the CharltanEers to snag some spotlight…
Hopefully it’s over now…
Even though you are a Dawg, maybe you aren’t so bad…
Jon, BTW…
“Magnum P.I.’s ugly brother”…
LMAO…
@ 9. Beautiful!!!! ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!!!
There are SO many angles that I can post about. It may take me a day or 2! Here are a few:
*RR will be gone in 3 yrs because he’s not going to beat Ohio St
*Ryan Mallett is going to transfer, he doesn’t fit RR’s system
*You better hope you sign Terrell Pryor, who is a taller version of Pat White, but equally as soft!
*Michigan doesn’t have the athletes he needs to run the spread offense. Mallet is a drop back passer, they’ll be thin at WR when Manningham leaves. So unless he goes out and gets an option QB for this year recruiting class, they’re going to have major growing pains. Rodriguez hasn’t ever won anything. Good thing for OSU that he already knows how to choke against a major rival in the last game of the season…see Pitt this year
Go Gators!!!
@12
I actually accepted the blame last year and brought it up before this season started during all of the WVU for MNC talk.
It’s all in the past, but relevant today.
Santa, for the love of God, don’t let UGA lose to Hawaii or June Jones will be coaching my Atlanta Falcons next year and haole Colt “No Cannon” Brennan will be his first draft pick for a double kick in the nuts.
One of these days, UGA will get a BCS bowl game that is worth playing in. This is punishment for the WVU Sugar Bowl loss.
Good for you, JK…
You might be the only one…
again, we will rise out of the ashes of this shit, we beat UGA
Don’t kid yourself, UGA is just as irrelevant as WVU.
I personally think WVU is fucked and the program will be taking a major leap back, but who knows they could hire the next Bob Stoops or some other talented coach. I just think RR really found a way to max account all he could from his recruits.
Anways… Any idea who they are looking at to replace him?
edit above max account = max out
Correction, eer…
WVU outlasted UGA…
@15
Don’t worry about Hawai’i. They had Div. 1-A’s softest schedule this year and almost lost to San Jose St., among other teams. The Dawgs will whip them in New Orleans, then we’ll get sloppy seconds with them in the season opener next year.
Good luck to all SEC teams this bowl season and GO GATORS.
@18
Even if that is true, UGA isn’t relevant in the best conference in the history of the world. If irrelevant is 10-2 in a season with freshman and soph starters, I’ll take it. We expected 9-3, 8-4 this season.
Half-assedness won’t cut it here. You can skate through the Big East and live with false hopes of grandeur.
Great mistakes lead to great learning. UGA taught the nation a lesson and one that Oklahoma has studied. Oklahoma will remind Pat White why he’s a cornerback.
@23
Holy crap. I’m a living fortune cookie.
Your numbers are
12 37 45 10 6 23
Mortgage your house, take Oklahoma and give the 4.5.
All I will say is do not hire Terry Bowden, unless you want goofy catch phrases like his “AU”some or AttitUde campaign.
I don’t blame WVU for being mad, but I would be more shocked than anything. I couldn’t imagine leaving my very own alma mater, but I guess everything has a price. By the way, what does the “cheerleader” reference mean? Did Richie get in hot water in Morgantown for some extracurricular activites? I never heard about any such rumors.
Saban contacted West Virginia about the head coach opening????
You can’t go wrong with either him or Terry Bowden.
No kidding, LL. Would that not be hilarious
Saban’s heart has always been in WV.
Jai/TBST:
If by some Grace of God the Reincarnation of The Bear goes back home to WV, we have got to get in touch with Tim Witt and find out his thoughts:

The poor kid will be sacrificed at the Altar of the Bahr beside the Quad in the T-town ghettos.
The new coach at WV? Bobby (Doughboy) Petrino. He has done all he can do for the pigs and has been in Fayetteville far too long. (of course, anytime in Fayetteville is too long.)
I have mixed feelings on him leaving. It sucks seeing a good coach leave, and it sucks knowing your school is still a stepping stone to better things, but I have faith we’ll get a nice replacement. I made sure to wear my WVU skully today to show I’ve still got love, even if nobody else cares down here in Baltimore.
[...] Rich Rod, don’t let the door hit you on the way out… – Loser With Socks [...]
Wow, EER, you are just a nut. Seriously, you’ve been preaching about how Rod is the “Gold Standard” of coaches, etc. then diss him totally when he leaves. Blame your administration, they couldn’t pony up the 200K for some piddly crap. Now your big boosters are done donating.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the rumors are true how his house was vandalized after the Pitt loss and how people are giving his kids crap about it. Who wants to live in a place like that. Grow up.
