The few times I have visited, it has been infested with Gators who squash any anti-Gate discussion at all. An email I received from a reader named Armadillo really blew me away.
A friend of ours codenamed “armadillo” was banned from the SECTalk message board for defending a child with downs syndrome. Armadillo sends us many tips and is a good friend to the LWS. Anyway the Board Moderator, gatorunvrsty unfavorably compared UGA’s QB Matt Stafford to a retarded kid, with pictures. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
Armadillo took a stand against this gatorunvrsty and was banned for his efforts. The thread is still posted on the SECTalk. These guys on this Board are pieces of shit. Unbelievable that this thread, with photos, would still be up [SECTalk]. Even more stunning is that the gatorunvrsty is a moderator and still actively posting.
gatorunvrsty sucks big fat sailor cock, a sailor that is home on leave, after a 6 month cruise, and gaortunvrsty does his deeds under a highway overpass.
Nice job gatorunvrsty and SECTalk, nice job, you fuckheads. That thread was despicable.

It is embarassing to see people representing Gator Nation like that. “gatorunvrsty” truly is a scumbag. Please hate us for our jorts, hot coeds, and SEC dominance over the last couple of decades and not because of the occasional idiot who tries to make the rest of us look bad. “gatorunvrsty” will get his in the end. Despite all of the Gatorhating (jealousy) that comes from this sight, this is by far my favorite SEC blog and I (almost) always get a kick out of your sense of humor.

I agree. This is by far the best SEC blog going. While I hate the Ga Bulldogs, I do not think what they were doing at SECtalk is right at all. The good thing about this site is everyone respectfully agrees to disagree, and while there may be quite a bit of trash talking and name calling, it is all usually done in good taste. Thanks Jai for keeping it fun.

Even though I am an Ole Miss graduate and an Alabama fan, I enjoy reading this blog (especially after reading this post). As you could see by my comments concerning the recent post about Petrino, I despise people who make fun of those who have Down’s Syndrome or use the term “retard” as a put-down. It’s pathetic, revolting, and classless. People afflicted with Down’s Syndrome cannot help their condition, and they are some of the most genuine and sincere people on the planet. People that mock those with Down’s Syndrome deserve to be horse-whipped. Roll Toddy.

Well, I don’t like any of you and I hope you don’t get what you want for Christmas, unless, of course, you want spinning hub caps and I hope you get those spinners stolen from you by Tony Joiner.
Let me tell you a personal story about down syndrome. It was 1998 and I was in the military and our base was hosting the Special Olympics and my squadron was housing several athletes in our barracks.
When the special Olympians and their bus showed in our squadron barracks, we welcomed them with “we will rock you” blasting from speaker stacks and a “spirit tunnel” off of the bus. Well, that combination sent several athletes into “I’m-ready-to-tackle-somebody!!!!” mode. This one massive kid with down syndrome storms off the bus like Ray Lewis jacked on an 8-ball givin’ the most powerful high fives I’ve ever seen including my playing days. He reminded me of that crazy ass senior lineman in high school that bit the head off of a snake that one time and played like a crazed caveman every time his helmet came off in mid-play during a game. He was psycho in a way that I didn’t want to see him again.
Well, as luck would have it, he was mine and my roommate’s athlete that we had to host for the weekend.
The rest of the day went great. He was a blast to be with and we had a lot of fun taking him to his events. We had a “block party” that night. No alcohol, but plenty of music and dancing. Well, our athlete thought it was real funny to set us up and grab girls’ asses and walk away. I kid you not, 90% of the time the military girls thought I or my roommate did it. I had never been called an “ass” so much in my life and it stayed that way until I married my wife of who calls me an “ass” 12 times a day that I know of. The kid was slick and thought it was the funniest thing.
Bedtime. We were briefed that teenaged down syndrome boys may flog the chicken. “May” was an understatement. Two minutes after the lights went out he started punchin’ the monkey and he did that about 6 times that night lying on a cot beside our bunk. I thank God that I was on the top bunk. How my roommate didn’t “section 8″, I don’t know.
I get it. He couldn’t help it, I know, but when you don’t live with one it kind of freaks you out.
As for folks using “retard” as a cut down, it works. When I use it, it’s “retard” as in, you’re acting like a retard, but you have the ability to not act like you don’t have total control of you actions, so it’s worse. To me down syndrome is not retarded. It’s down syndrome. If I had a family member with down syndrome, I might be more sensitive to it, but I highly doubt it. My uncle has a retarded sister and he talks about the crazy stuff she does.
This is the best SEC Blog out there… and I even have one I mess around with. The guys at SECTalk.com and I swapped links several months ago, but I’ve officially taken theirs down. Bush league is bush league.

Well, it’s nice to be infamous, too, I guess. I regretted the thread immediately after I posted it, but in all honesty, I wasn’t making fun of disabled kids. I was making fun of Stafford’s haircut by camparing it to that kid “Corky”, from the movie. The likeness was uncanny because of the bowl-cut “do”. It’s nice to see so many level-headed people here, with room to judge others based on a single poor thread idea. It wasn’t even an original idea; I got it from a Gator site, and they had gotten it from a different team site before that. Not that I really care what a bunch of poorly educated rednecks think of me personally; but, it might interest you to know that I’ve been volunteering about 40 hours a week of my time, for the last 2 years, helping alcoholics, addicts, HIV patients, and mentally ill patients. My family has also sponsored a mildly retarded woman for the last 20 years. I’m quite certain few of you know what that entails, and I won’t bother boring you with the extent of our efforts. If one bad decision on an internet board condemns me in your eyes, I’ll hardly lose any sleep over it. Perhaps some of you could better spend your time by asking what you’ve actually done for your own communities lately… and then get back to me.
As for “Imadildo”, he was banned because he only came on the board to flame and create chaos. Not surprisingly, he never added anything of substance to the discussions; and isn’t worthy of respect from anyone with even a weak command of their faculties. It’s pretty bad when your sole reason for posting on a site is to talk trash, but you’re not even witty enough to accomplish that feat and escape unscathed. I’m sure he hasn’t shared with everyone here the PM that finally got him banned; and it was so long ago that I don’t still have it either. But, even the least imaginative of you can probably recall what the talk was like in your middle school locker room, and you were just getting a grasp of cursing. That was pretty much the jist of it. He became discouraged, and resorted to the same tactics that all ignorant people do when they can’t keep up… personal insults and profanity. In short, we’re quite happy with what is a great site, and it was only by chance that one of our members happened across this pathetic diatribe. I guess the best thing I can say about this site is… well… at least it seems to be aptly named.
