Michigan or Alabama?
Bama has Tradition. Double click the picture to enlarge. [Fark by OJ]
Last year’s Rich Rod was Bama’s first choice but was Michigan’s 3rd or 4th choice. In case anyone has forgotten, Nick Saban was Bama’s 3rd choice.
Is Saban thinking of heading home [WBV]? We will only know for sure when Saban utters the immortal words “I will not be the head coach of West Virginia”.
Sorry, folks, but it’s Michigan, and I’m not talking about cheating, tradition or facilities here. Even though I think Michigan has the Bammeroids beat on all counts.
I’m talking about competition.
If you’re the coach at Michigan, you basically have one obstacle between yourself and a BCS bowl: Ohio State (don’t feed me that Illinois crap, they haven’t won anything yet). Hell, even this year was a “down year,” and they still won 8 games.
At ‘Bama? You’d have to manage to actually beat a school called Auburn, which continues to be a problem. Then of course you’ve got a rising LSU program and Ar-kansas to compete with. And if you make it through all that, you have to beat the best team in the SEC East, which would be either Tennessee, Georgia, or Florida.
Which is the easiest road to the BCS, and the fastest way to become a local hero and having a secure job for years to come?
Michigan. Good choice Rich Rod.

Don’t forget if you’re the Bama coach, it’d probably be a good idea to figure out how not to get Croomed for a third straight year.
I know we ain’t no powerhouse down here at Moo State, but we seem to have Bama’s number.
I feel a bit insulted…
How is there no Charlie Pell bust in there???
The man that racked up “some of the most grievous violation” the NCAA had ever seen doesn’t warrant a spot on that wall???
WTF!!!!
There are many images that belong on that wall!
Drew belongs on that wall.
