Why we enjoy Notre Dame’s Fail
from sports.espn.go.com posted with vodpod
Once or twice a decade when Notre Dame does their “return to glory” bit for a year or two only to return to mediocrity, Notre Dame gear comes out of the woodwork. They’re the type of fans who couldn’t name more than a player or two on the team but oh my, they’d profess to love the Irish. It was probably the worst I’ve ever seen back in 2005 when Charlie Weis was at the height of his “genius” and “offensive guru” labels while Brady Quinn was shoved down everybody’s throats as the second coming of Otto Graham.
The Notre Dame gear and their bandwagon fans have since disappeared of course, much like the labels that were formerly attached to Weis’ name.
That sort of crap is why college football fans everywhere revel in Notre Dame’s misery.
Now that the Notre Dame football season has mercifully come to an end, President Bush has asked Charlie Weis if he’ll serve on the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities [link].
It almost seems like a mean-spirited stab at Weiss by the President. I mean, you are supposed to be an offensive genius, a wizard of a coach, in a losing season without much offense now maybe you can help the intellectually disabled.

I’m sure that NBC is so happy it got ND wrapped up in that long term TV contract. They both deserve each other.
And I’m glad that we were the latest ones who quashed the latest ND “rebellion” in last season’s Sugar Bowl. They’re just like doorknobs, everyone gets a turn…
You need to go to envyirish.com and read how those dipshits delude themselves into thinking that the supposedly hot recruiting class they have is going to put them back in the national title picture and at the same time seem to be totally satisfied with winning three games. They can’t get their heads out of their nethers long enough to understand that Weis will take any talent they get and screw it up.
