A deeper look at the Failboats
I see a lot of Big Ten fans defend tOSU with it’s 7-10-2 overall record against the 0-8 bowl record against the SEC. If it smells like poo, then it is probably poo.
Lets examine the games:

1986 – Alabama 10-16 L
1987 – LSU 13-13 T
1988 – LSU 36-33 W
1990 – Auburn 14-31 L (Hall of Fame Bowl)
1993 – Georgia 14-21 L (Citrus Bowl)
1995 – Alabama 17-24 L (Citrus Bowl)
1996 – Tennessee 14-20 L (Citrus Bowl, I love this one)

Lets examine the games:
- Ohio State has one win against the SEC in the last 70 years
- Ohio State is 1-9-1 against the SEC in the last 30 years
- 6 of Ohio State’s 7 wins against SEC teams are against Vanderbilt and Kentucky, the SEC’s 9th and 10th best teams by winning percentage.
- 6 of the 7 Ohio State wins against SEC teams came over 70 years ago
Blowouts:
For Ohio State – 2
Against Ohio State – 4
Does this or will this have any effect on the Failboats? Probably. I just am posting it in response to the Ohio State fans who post the 7-10-2 record to show that Ohio Sate hasn’t been bad against the SEC. It does clearly demonstate that the SEC has dominated Ohio State over the past 30 years. Good luck against a healthy LSU team.
