Are the Falcons looking at Herban Meyer after he and the Gates destroy Michigan?

At the NFL Combine he’ll promise everyone that they’ll be the next _________?

Is it plausible? Yes, the Falcons are the only team stupid enough to try and run a spread offense in the NFL. And Herban is arrogant enough to think he could show the NFL that he will whip their ass with the spread option and make them like it.

Not saying that Meyer is a selfish fuck, but it does all seem to be about him.

1. Herban has accomplished everything you can accomplish at the college level. You can talk about building a dynasty or winning multiple MNC’s but the reality is that he has been to the top, there is no where else to go. He just added the crowning jewel of coaching a heisman trophy winner.

2. The NFL is where the big boys are. Any competitive person wants to test themselves against the best, that is why college coaches continue to make the jump even though the track record is horrible. As much as UF fans don’t want to believe it, I don’t picture Herban being a guy that will be happy to sit in one place for 30 years. He is a competitor and he will want to test himself against the best. It is the same reason he tells kids to come to the SEC, to be the best you have to beat the best.Why not take your chance in the NFL? Like Petrino, Spurrier, Saban,…you come right back to the NCAA level and get a top BCS job.
