Theme: Vigilance by Jestro
typical….a tennessee fan more locked in on gator hate than his own vols..
tennessee wins a bowl game in dramatic fashion, the gators get beat in bowl game…the great orange ‘grimace’ pulls one out against some big10 rodents
I think he was referring to the fact that UF lost to a undertalented UM team and cost the conference….
Taunting at the beginning of the game was a factor. Lack of supervision and discipline are factors too.
Deny it all day long, but Florida has issues, and none are good
And yes, Tennessee wn its game as did my Tigers. So, yes they did win. After watching the Tebow/Harvin offense, it seems that there is a lack of talent and creativity. Meyer looked ordinary at best.
Yeah, I am getting my ass handed to me, so what? You florida fans will miss me soon.
Musburger said that I recruited the NC Team and began the recruiting of Tebow.
He laughs last, wins
LOLOLOLOL
‘win for the conference’ is garbage….always has been, always will be.
i’d pull for north korea before i’d pull for anything that came out of alabama.
michigan is not ‘undertalented’….they were ‘underachieving’
Good point. Who in their right mind would pull for Bama? They are part of the Axis of Evil. Florida is close, but i was hoping your boys would not fuck it up. Meyer really did look like a deer in the headlights.
as for meyer/tebow/harvin….florida’s problem isn’t creativity (or lack therof), discipline, etc…
our problem is, we were exposed halfway thru the year as having little, or no defense. i think the 2nd half of the lsu game on, we’ve been on our heels against everyone we’ve faced (save f$u and their anemic offense) …if you want to talk about florida’s failures (today and this year in general), talk about the defense…
hell, even brandon cox moved the ball against us… in retrospect, if ainge hadn’t been injured, that game would’ve probably been a lot different.
and fucking Tebow…LOL… was baffled. He looked like he was playing auburn
Tebow’s offense sputtered when it counted today. Tebow only scored one more point on Mich than App State did. AND the defense sucked.
ahh….i was waiting for the proverbial ‘other shoe’ to drop, regarding the pythagorean theory of florida-app.state comparisons…thanks for the insight turd.
florida scored 35 pts, they had close to 400 yds total offense..they…lost…because….of….their….defense….
Ears:
Florida doesn’t have “many issues”. They have 1 issue: a young, inexperienced defense. Mullen’s play-calling today did puzzle me, but never should a team score 35 points and lose in my opinion. The secondary needs to grow up fast in the offseason and hopefully Torrey Davis and Carlos Dunlap will shine next year on the D-Line. Having no push up the middle on the D-Line really hurt us this year.
Here is the perception, right or wrong:
t seems ever since you won the NC last year, the Gators have not been the same.
UF has had far too many off the field incidents.
UF loses at home in a poorly coached game.
UF loses to UGA in a game in which I believe Meyer was outcoached.
Meyer loses his first bowl game, in a poorly coached game.
I know some are making excuses for the recruiting year, but even with a small class it seems to be down this year.
nobody picked us to repeat, to win the SEC, or be the ‘06 gators… we were in a ‘rebuilding’ year. tebow and our defense wer supposed to be too young/inexperienced for us to compete for greater things. turns out they were right…at least about the defense. tebow….well, the heisman speaks for itself.
meyer didn’t coach poorly, he couldn’t cover manningham himself. he couldn’t cover georgia’s receivers, nor could he cover kentucky’s. when you can’t stop the pass, your run defense eventually collapses, or vice versa. like LL pointed out, we have an inexperienced defense.
as much as it pains me to say it, georgia beat florida….was the more deserving team. to say meyer was ‘outcoached’ cheapens what the dawgs accomplished this year. we had no pressure on stafford and he picked us apart.
if we were only so lucky to have the genius of tuberville on our sidelines…..
Wasn’t Herban undefeated in games he had more than one week to prepare for until today? Herban’s coaching abilities have dwindled.
Hail to the victors!
Who cares why UF lost as long as they lost, that all that matters.
Tebow is just another quarterback to us…….ya’ll put it down….Shawn Crable Michigan defender.
Florida lost because they didn’t do a very good job of converting turnovers into points and because of two missed field goals. AND because the defense stunk.
My point about App State was mostly that UF has a better offense, and only part trash talking. Defense might have had its flaws, but Tebow didn’t have his best day either.
hey seminole…obsessing over your rival’s bowl games/opponents is a symptom of chronic losing.
how’s that bowden study hall going…oh, and you acquitted yourselves nicely versus the mighty kentucky wildcats.
@16 tebow didn’t have his best day, you’re right…and…you make valid points.
@14 yes he was….can’t win them all…
TBST:
He was something like 19-0 in that regard before today. Now, he’s 19-1. Yeah, he’s lost his touch alright.
And I don’t know if you all have noticed but the spread will never work in the SEC. So I find it strange that Tuberville just hired that dude from Troy to be his OC. Weird.
Semenhole:
Congrats on another 7-6 season in the weakest conference in college football, douche.
Mish-e-gun did what all other teams did to us…pounded the rock. UF’s young and inefficient defense did exactly what they had done against LSU and UGA. The UF o-line did a wonderful job of letting TT take his hits behind the l-o-s rather than down field. A pathetic performace by the orange and blue. Kudos to TT and PH for their efforts in today’s game.
Beyond that…props to LC for going out with a win. Good guy.
“Florida lost because they didn’t do a very good job of converting turnovers into points and because of two missed field goals. AND because the defense stunk.”
Thank you, turd. I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Oh yeah… and they threw some too.
@18, it worked against an ACC school, that’s not too difficult to do. And UF doesn’t run a Spread Option, they run a Tebow Option.
Honestly TBST, you left out Harvin…
Florida’s defense didn’t show up, but they are still young. Next year, they will be scary with this year under the belt. How Charlie Strong is not a head coach somewhere is beyond me…
Why strong is a “co” cordinator is curious
his lateral moves within the defensive hierarchy at florida have been ‘zookesque’…..(asst, dc, special teams coach…then head coach)
strong was dc, then interim hbc, then co-dc….weird… but mattison has been great as well..so i can’t complain…
Oh, and Happy New Year, Everyone.
Wait til Rich Rod gets his hands on the Submarines, they will really suck.
