New DC at the Barn: The Orgeron

This is not as crazy as is sounds. Tuberville and The 0 were roomies at Miami, back where Crazy Ed had those first run-ins with the law. I don’t think there are any restraining orders or any legal issues pending in Alabama for The Orgeron. Maybe Tuberville can help rekindle that South Beach magic in Orgeron. And before anyone (Erik) calls me out on it, yeah I know I was one of the first people calling for his firing from Ole Miss.

The O. LOL

Dude isn’t a head coach worth a shit, but he can recruit, and Auburn might be needing someone to replace the Will Muschamp Boom MF’er intensity on the sideline. If you can harness the power of The O and not let him run wild, titty-twisting, knocking over port-o-potties and just limit him to a few “Wild Boyz” yells a day, I think he can be a positive influence on any team. That right amount of intensity, no more, and damn sure no less from The O.

And when it comes to recruiting, only let him deal with the defensive players. After all, Crazy Ed thought Brent Shaffa was the future of Ole Miss football. He couldn’t ink Joe McKnight or Robert Elliot, so don’t let him touch the offensive recruits. Wait a minute… this is the same guy that wasted three years on Jerrell Powe. Shit… Oh yeah, Crazy Ed will have adult supervision telling him not to shoot himself in the pecker with a BB gun with Tuberville. Maybe this can work. His coonass-ness can appeal to the plethora of recruits in Louisiana, he still has some of the USC championship glow left to his name, and maybe he can bring some recruits to the Plains that originally committed to The 0 at Ole Miss. Seems worth it to me.

I mean shit, dude was able to recruit at Ole Miss. Yeah, this Ole Miss. How in the fuck do you convince a prized recruit to go there? If you can convince someone to go to Oxford, with its fucked up beer laws, short bar hours, Big East like stadium and athletic facilities, and unreasonably high expectations, then convincing a kid to go to Auburn shouldn’t be a problem.

And I want Crazy Ed to stay in the SEC. He provides so much material.

Seriously, that would suck. He’s a good position coach/coordinator and an even better recruiter. He would help out the boogs instantly.

But at the same time, the allure of having him back in the SEC in some way is almost too hard to resist. Imagine the Tiger Walk going on, and all of a sudden, a Red Bull-infused, crazed O comes running down the street, ripping his shirt off and screaming something about “Tigah Futbah.”

Auburn could beat us 6 more times in a row and it would be worth it. Well, almost.

I’m laughing just thinking about The Orgeron going wild during the Tiger Walk. They may have to have some dude with a tranquilizer gun around in case he gets out of hand, like Stiffler’s character in Old School.

I’ve been saying this since Muschamp went on his first interview. They could do a reality show with O and Tuberville, talk about an odd couple…

    Thanks for the shout, TBST.

I’ve been hearing this types a shit since The Orgeron got fired. I believe Tubs said in the Bham News that “we will find a spot for him, if he wants one” and that was even before Tommy’s staff exploded.

He’s one of the few men who could counteract Lord Saban insatiable appetite for crootin’
