Put Bruce Pearl (or even fucking Pelphrey, etc.) with the young talent Bama has, and you have yourself a top 10-20 team. As it stands, we have the abortion that was last night. While being up by 10, I told my roommate, “hey, it looks like this team may win in spite of Gottfried.” How foolish. Since this was the 1st game I have watched this year (other than the G town game, which was actually exactly like this), I forgot that ole Mike never makes any adjustments and always gives the game away in the 2nd. Like clockwork, a good coach (Donnavan, but put pretty much anyone in there) makes adjustments and his team overcomes the early onslaught to overtake the score, while Bama does the same thing and gets behind. Add some ill advised 3′s the possession we get down by 4 points and thereafter, and you have a typical Bama game. It has NEVER changed.

Thanks to the Gates for being young and constantly fouling us to keep us in the game, but I’ll chalk it up to inexperience by the Gates, as they should know that Gottfried can’t even be given a game.

That comment was dripping with sarcasm in response to the original post. Maybe I should’ve let that be known a little better. Sorry.

I like this Gator team and the future looks bright. They’ll be fine and will only get better as they begin to gel as a team.

We just can’t seem to do anything with Gottfried as the coach. He makes horrible assistant coaching moves, can’t coach X’s and O’s, and still runs that old UCLA offense Wooden used to run…. (of course, that depends on if he actually feels like letting our team run any plays)
