SEC Weekend Breakdown

This weekend we have 6 SEC matchups:

Auburn @ Florida - The Tigers are way too overmatched here.  With only 7 scholarship players currently look for them to be completely undermanned for handling a road test in Gatesville.

Georgia @ Miss. St. - Once again the home team will take this one.  Guards Billy Humphrey and Sundiata Gaines will do everything they can in a losing effort against the dawgs, but inside presence of Jamont Gordon and Jarvis Varnado will be they key to this game.

Vanderbilt @ Kentucky - Just because of history I almost want to call this game for Kentucky, but they are SO bad this season it is awesome to see them about to lose a home game to the ‘Dores.  The Australian and Shan Foster tear them a new one.  Expect Vandy to win by 15.

LSU @ Mississippi – The Rebels still think they have something to prove…. and they do.  Two point loss against Tennessee is impressive, but it still goes in the L column.  The rebels are used to winning at home and the Tigers are thge 2nd worst team in the SEC, so this should be one of the home wins the rebs get this season.

Tennessee @ South Carolina – Bruce Pearl and the Vols are coming off of a tough win at home, and this is a potential trap game.  While the Gamecocks are quite awful, they have been known to get some wins in a season especially at home.  Tennessee is going to win, but if they don’t it’s because they felt self-satisfied after a win over a team that had no business playing them to 2 points.

Sunday

Alabama @ Arkansas - In the battle of the “who’s trailer is less shabby” I’m gonna give it to Arkansas.  They have the momentum and talent going into this game.  With a slightly stronger front line and better guard play the hogs should win.  The game will be much closer if the Tide do a good job defending from the arc or if the hogs go cold.  They have been lights out from the arc in the last couple of games.

There you have it.  All the results of the SEC games this weekend so no you don’t even have to watch, but the best game should be Arkansas vs. Alabama.
