Phil Fulmer’s Press Release

University of Tennessee Head Football Coach Phillip Fulmer and Men’s Athletics Director Mike Hamilton announced disciplinary action Monday for William Brimfield, Gerald Jones and Ahmad Paige for a violation of team rules.

“I am extremely disappointed in these young men and the decision they made,” Fulmer said. “This is an example of youth and stupidity by boys that need to become men and not make stupid and irrational decisions trying to impress each other. I have met with all three players individually, and they understand that this behavior will not be tolerated. They have a number of things they need to do to get back in our good graces, including performing community service with a drug rehabilitation facility, participating in police ride-alongs and more frequent drug tests. They also will be prohibited from hosting recruits for one year.”

Here at the University of Florida Tennessee we believe in obedience to the law, except for the laws concerning money laundering and illegal drugs because  they can hurt recruiting and only confuse our players of which games that they can play in when they  have to be “suspended”.  Tommy Tubberville, Bob Stoops, Nick Saban and Les Miles should be ashamed. They wield discipline in their respective programs only to gain favor of the drive-by, left-wing liberal sports media, but their selfishness comes at the cost of the players..

It’s a crying shame when a rising young player like Gerald Jones is forced to  participate in police ridealongs because of a minor indiscretion. I mean, who hasn’t been  cited for  smoking weed from an  uniformed cop during a routine traffic stop?  He was hosting a blue chip recruit for pete’s sake, that should have been a clear sign to the 5-O that  the laws that apply to John Q. Public did not apply to Gerald.  Must have been a new guy working for the Knoxville PD.

We expect our Vols to play tough on the field…but off the field they need to play by the rules..isn’t that really just a double standard? Can’t we all just have fun and party without fear of losing our “jobs”. I mean come on…no ones perfect!!

Great players should be able to play no matter what their criminal record. At  Tennessee, Coaches should not have the right to take away these young mens’  God given gifts to be FOOTBALL PLAYERS! What you folks need to realize is that here in  Knoxville it don’t matter how we get there (to the SEC East championship), it’s just that we get there! I don’t care if one of my Vols is caught in bed with a live boy or a dead girl, as long as they suit up and show some class on Saturdays.

One more thing… We won’t tolerate drops around here. Just somebody please put on a helmet and fill the B Gap.

There’s that handy Edwin Edwards reference again. The parallels are amazing.

this is obviously a blog template for criminal athletes and their rogue institutions.

I love the satirical spin that he uses to better illustrate the unconditional love of fans and coaches for this young men. Jai could and probably will supplant other coaches and universities i.e. alabama and saban or meyer and florida. it all works nicely

Why no post on Fulmer extending his contract through 2013? Great news for all Gator fans.
