“Gingers“—those with red hair, freckles, and pale skin—are creepy and evil.

Who will lose the most coaches off of their staff? Meyer, Saban or Fulmer? Right now Fulmer is sitting at 5 (if you count the guy who carries the headset cord on the sideline).
Now we begin to see the departure of the Bammer coaching staff. Saban loses his Major Applewhite to the University of Texas to what I would consider to be not a lateral career move, from Alabama’s offensive coordinator to Mack Brown’s running back coach. Major must have tired being the bag man for Saban’s recruiting visits. Read this:
THE ROCK STAR
Brentwood Academy coach Ralph Potter, previously at McCallie, saw his share of college suitors for Chris Jordan, who rushed for 1,160 yards this past season despite battling an ankle injury that required surgery before Christmas. Tennessee’s Phillip Fulmer, Georgia’s Mark Richt and Auburn’s Tuberville are among those who have met with Potter.
There was no visit, however, like Saban’s visit last spring.
“Most coaches walk right in off the street, sign in and sit down, but he practically has an advance team of assistant coaches who call to make sure everything is done a certain way for his visit,” Potter said. “He has to come in this entrance and leave at this exit. It was like we were dealing with a rock star. We could not deal with every coach who comes through here if we had to deal with them the way we had to deal with him.
“By the time he actually got here, I really didn’t want to be around him. I wanted to say, ‘Look, you don’t treat people this way.’ I thought he really needed to examine what he was doing.”[Chattanooga Free Press]
Brentwood places a lot players into D-1 schools. Oh the hilarity of stepping on yor dick
Past and current assistants seem to really loathe him and can’t wait to get away from him. Ask yourself: Why is Major Applewhite, willing to take a position coach’s spot, giving up an OC job with a top recruiting class? Wow is all I can say.
Nick will run off recycle his staff in three years, and as has been his documented history, will be gone himself in five. Bammeroids, as the saying goes: ‘Those that ignore history are doomed to repeat it.’
When he doesn’t win those SEC Championships that all those high rolling Red Elephant Club members demand, the Psycho Shanes’ and Phyllis’ of Mulga will crucify him.
Clearly the conspiracy to keep the Bama program down is alive and well. Saban must fight back to thwart the attempts of jealous fans, opposing conference coaches [Fulmer, Miles and Tubby], rogue high school coaches [Ralph Potter], the NCAA, overtures from NFL teams, and quite possibly the Illuminati, to prevent the destruction of what I consider to be the Program that built the SEC. RIP Logan Young.

Enjoyed the way you only printed the portion of Paschall’s article that fits your agenda. You fail to mention that the kid from Brentwood (Jordan) committed to Alabama. It also fits your agenda to spin Applewhite’s return to his alma mater as a knock on Alabama. I don’t blame him for leaving; he didn’t have full control of the offense and he’s going home for around the same money. This season wasn’t great but you know what keeps me warm on cold winter nights: 41-17 and it will happen again this year regardless of the OC. Thanks for keeping the Tide from having a completely horrible year UT. Go Vawls! RTR!
spin Bammer spin. Deflect Bammer Deflect. Why in the fuck would he move? I ain’ buying the alma mater bullshit. Who is his namesake again?
why didn’t he have full control of the offense? I remember saban throwing him under the bus for a playcall against UGA. I ain’t buying that bullshit either.
you fuckers beat all i have ever seen ….
No matter what the reasons, Mack Brown seems to be raiding the SEC for assistants. He knows where the top level of competition is.
Mack Brown wastes more talent than Phil Fulmer
Why can’t alabama fans comprehend reality? This is the most telling part of the post:
Nick will run off recycle his staff in three years, and as has been his documented history, will be gone himself in five. Bammeroids, as the saying goes: ‘Those that ignore history are doomed to repeat it.’
nobody understands this more than Eer fans. history roids, it is history, why you don’t think that he will do you wrong is amazing
don’t fucking stutter
Hey, I see you didn’t post that whole comment from the guy from Brentwood, so here’s the rest of it:
Once he and Jordan finally met with Saban, Potter found him to be pleasant.
Jordan used the opportunity to ask Saban if he ever smiled. Saban apparently responded, “I will tell you a few jokes if it will do you any good.”
In early December, Jordan picked Saban’s Tide over Clemson.
“He does have charisma, and he is very organized,” Potter said. “He knows what he wants and is very aggressive. He’s got a plan, and every move must be according to that plan.”
Wow, that, along with Jordan committing, sure does change that a little bit.
Funny, I sleep better at night when I think of the Fightin’ Nutria of Louisiana Monroe owning Tuscaloosa…
Oh, and on Major – please, we lose one assistant coach to his alma mater, and Saban is going to get fired after never winning a game again? How desperate are yall to bash Bama?
The truth is, he wasn’t fully handed over the offense and he didn’t like that. I can’t believe that Big Bad Saban wouldn’t let a 28 year old have free reign to do as he pleased in his 1st year in the SEC.
And, yeah, Saban is a dick and works 16 hours a day and demands the same from his coaches, so some aren’t going to like that, but they all like the fact that they get to move on to bigger and better things. It’s fucking football the last time I checked, and I remember plenty of my coaches being dicks b/c it’s a tough game. I didn’t bust an ovary over it, though.
Finally, Eer –
Why is it that Bama fans get so much shit for bringing up history and pointing to history repeating itself as a way to see a promising future for the program, but yet you sit here and tell us to watch out for history repeating itself?
OK, let me see history repeating itself. In the 1950′s Bama was at its lowest point ever for pretty much the whole decade. Auburn had a 5 game winning streak against Bama, and even won .5 of a MNC (while on probation). Then, Bama got a proven coach that was very demanding of his players and coaches and proceeded to dominate like no other school ever has or ever will in the SEC.
Fast forward to the 2000′s. Bama has been at it’s lowest point since the 50′s for about a decade. Auburn once again has a streak against Bama, but this time it’s 6, and they went undefeated once (but still no championship). Bama has just hired a new coach who is also just as demanding as that other coach and is building the foundation for great teams over the next few years.
So, what you’re telling me is to infer that Bama will once again reach the top b/c history repeats itself?
Oh, and as a side note for history repeating itself – WVU almost makes it to the championship game, but blows it and doesn’t get a shot in the late 80′s/early 90′s (don’t know exactly, don’t care).
Fast forward to today – Hey, watch out for that Pitt game. I hear it can be a doozy!
@10 Eer loves history. Haven’t you seen all the posts about the 2005 Sugar Bowl? I think he brings it up at least once a day. He hangs his hat on it like a national championship, since he doesn’t have an actual one.
Congrats to LA-Monroe, Alabama fans should have bought that billboard for them. They have reached their pinnacle with that win and should be congratulated for that. It hurts my pride as a fan but oh well. Ears – continuity would be good but so what. Anybody that watched football knows that the offense MA ran at Rice was not he one run at UA, therefore; he’s not in full control. Nobody is that upset… except people that blog about how much Alabama sucks and they spin it for their use and then use pieces of articles. No one is deflecting or spinning anything except Jai and you. It reminds me of watching the press spin the war. If the whole story doesn’t fit your agenda then you spin it so it does. No one is going to apologize for wanting their team to win. If you don’t like Alabama that’s fine, just don’t be a hypocrite. Every team in the SEC West and UT are replacing at least one coordinator this year, but Alabama does it and their the dregs of football. You goons make me laugh.
This site reminds me of a shitty dive bar: You get to look at tail, hear a bunch of know-it-alls talk about what they know nothing about (I include myself in that group) and everyone is always looking to start a fight.
Pretty funny stuff – I guess that’s why I continue to come back.
Oh and if ya’ll haven’t figured out that Jai and Eer are the same person you haven’t been paying attention. They both say the same thing just from a different perspective. They are the smart-ass instigator that no one wants to hang out with.
@13 Wow, I can’t quit you either
Picturemerollin: I am impressed! You are one hard core, rammer jammerin, yellow hammerin, Bear kissin, $aban lovin, Tide Rollin, Elephant huggin, son of a bitch! Roooooooooll Tide!!!! Forget Private Applewhite, he wants to go home to his snuff dipping mommie.
houndstooth wearing, collette cuddling Roid?
Ears said it all,
Spin Bammer Spin,
Deflect Bammer Deflect,
I love how he takes shots at Auburn for splitting a national title when they have split every title they have except the 92 one. You need to realize that Bama fans are like the people in the Matrix, they have no concept of their own reality. Read a college football history book that wasn’t printed in Alabama with Bear Bryant’s picture on it.
Here comes the deflecting…
@17 Is Alabama upper or lower case?
It humors me how you believe that Alabama fans are the ones without concept of reality. There are unrealistic, delusional fans of every team out there, most especially in the SEC. It seems that you put yourself above the fray. Show me someone who is grounded in total reality and I’ll show you someone who isn’t a fan. The whole point of all this is “why my team is better is better than yours, how the program I root for is superior to the one you root for”.The reality is that it’s a game played by kids and the hierarchy is constantly in flux. LSU lost to UAB a few years ago and today won a National Championship, Alabama has won a national championship and lost to LA-Monroe. Tennessee won the SEC East but was humiliated by two of their biggest rivals. It’s all spin because everyone here has an agenda- don’t be a hypocrite and call anybody out for spinning.
My whole initial point was – don’t quote things incorrectly to do it- it’s dishonest. Making fun of the Alabama program because a drunk woman tried to mug down on the new coach is funny (and sad) because it’s true. Just as getting arrested for pot violations (with or without a recruit) is funny. Just don’t lie or accuse someone else for spinning. Or call someone out for not being classy – none of this is classy and I dare say that if we used our real names a lot of this wouldn’t take place.
You leave me breathleeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
