I see what is happening now. UK will make the NCAA Tourney even if they are a .500 “bubble” team because:
1. When a team like UK is not in the playoffs, it is not good for the tourney, period. The MLB playoffs are considered “down” when the Yankees or Red Sox are not in. The NCAA needs teams like Duke, Kansas, UNC, UK, etc. for the same reason and the selection committee knows it.
or
2. The Selection Committee would probably love to put UK in the tourney just to “throw them to the wolves” and cap off an already tough season with an embarrassing loss as an 11 to 14 seed.
Unbelievably most UK fans think this team could reach the Sweet 16 with a healthy squad and pairings with teams they match up well with.
As far as last nights game, Tennessee should be running gassers for losing to such a mediocre team and Bruce Pearl should be publicly censured for taking his off of the ball and over-estimating this cream puff opponent.
Bring on Duke!

The last 4 minutes were just painful to watch. I have no room to talk give the current state of Georgia basketball, but there’s no way the Vols should have lost that game.

* Unless you play for Florida, then you can pretty much come in, walk around, laugh about the delusions of UK fans, and walk out with a win. UF owns UK like UT owns that Gators, only the Kats can’t point to the banners and talk about the difference between the regular season and the postseason.
Seriously, though UK’s hilarious, even Bama didn’t provide us with a better parable than the Black vs. White national title game, I mean my god it actually happened and it still seems like some sort of unreal fairy tale, for fucks sake their crazy coot coach was even named “Adolph” its like they looked at Ole Miss and the mascot not to be named, and said that’s too subtle we need to do something that can’t be defended as “tradtion” hell would anyone really be suprised by an old photo of UK fans giving Rupp a “salute”?
