NOT a moral victory at all. We lost. Didn’t expect to win. We’re playing with a bunch of Freshman & Sophomores, lost our top 6 scorers from last year, and UT had won 27 straight at home.
Like I said, win one when it counts. No one remembers that UF lost at UT last year. But they do remember that UF won the SEC, the SEC Tournament, and the NCAA Championship (again).
UT has choked out of the last 2 SEC Tourneys and NCAA tourneys and has never been to a Final Four. Meanwhile, Billy D has been to 3 FF’s since 2000. Suck on that, Fag.

I believe both LL and myself have noted that this UF team is certainly not on par with the last two years but has still overachieved past what was expected by them…
As well as pointing out that UT for close to 40 minutes did NOT look like a top ten squad until their deeper bench and two to three year head start in conditioning took over…
The last minutes of the game it was obvious as the UF shooting went cold and the fouls increased that the good guys were exhausted which allowed UT to finally even up and pull away…
Anyway you slice it…
I didn’t see any teams that looked like a top ten and deep round Tourney team on the court in K-Town last night…

It shows just how much you respect Gator Basketball and how you hold them to such high regard. By beating them, it makes you think that UT BBall is one step closer to making it where they can compete with the Big Boys. It also shows how passionate you are that Tennessee Basketball might one day: 1) Make it to the Finals of the SEC Tournaments consistently. 2) Make it to a Final Four consistently, like say 4 times in 13 years. 3) Win an NCAA Championship in Basketball, back-to-back even, maybe.

Never have I stated that UF is the class of the SEC this year. However, for a young team they have exceeded expectations. I never expected them to be 18-5 at this point (which is damn good considering these are 5 guys who have never played together before this season). I don’t expect them to win the SEC and I didn’t expect them to beat UT last night. UT won the game, plain and simple, fair and square.

I turned the game at the half and about shat myself when I saw they were up by 4…
When I saw the first half highlights with Billy trying to have these kids run with the Vols, I knew it wasn’t going to be good at the end…
You could see the shooting fade, the passing weaken, the defense get sloppy and the decision making bcome poor as the Gators faded physically…
In the end, superior skill wasn’t necessarily the factor for the win as much as bench depth and maturity for the Vols…
