I’ll have to admit Jai, that I did tear up, just a little bit. I couldn’t have been more sincere in my praise. The video, which is aired coincidentally about 30 minutes prior to kickoff at all Alabama home games, was a nice touch and did in fact, make it a nice post. They play it just before the one where Coach Bryant speaks and only those of us that are faithful can understand what he says.

Yeah, it’s pretty much impossible to have any sort of objective discussion in here where people would actually ignore extreme biases and admit that their point of view may not be right. They really get angry when you bring facts to the discussion or ask them to back up their claims with facts, though I’m not sure which one they hate worse.
Also, it’s not just the comments. This article is a great example of what I’m talking about. Instead of seeing that Saban just plain outworked Fulmer, Tubs, etc. in recruiting, just say that Bama cheats. Much easier than admitting that Bama may have a great coach and be making a push to get back to the top of the SEC in a few years.

I have been visiting here long enough to know that (sorry Jai, but I’m telling your secret) most of the point of this site and the commenters is to have a laugh at the expense of somebody that get’s angry at what is being said. That’s why everything is inflamatory and overdramatic. Other than the links and Jai’s occasional semi-introspective pieces on the Vols the sole intent is to, and I quote “raise ire”. I’m OK with that. I don’t expect facts to make sense here and I sure don’t expect anyone on this site to agree that there might be two sides to anything. It is unapologetic about that but at least it is consistently unapologetic.
This article is a perfect example. There hadn’t been a good reaming today. Jai wrote the one about Fulmer’s comments and no one bit, so he went back to the old standbys- Putting down Alabama and Alabama fans. A lot of commenters are just waiting on Jai to spring the trap. We’re in the SEC, every fan base but Vandy has its share of toothless, trailer living delusional fans. Meth isn’t just happening in Tennessee. And I’m sure that there are great things about UT and AU but you aren’t going to make you or me believe that. I sware I’m not trying to kiss ass here but in a way it’s unique; I can’t think of any other site that’s devoted not to praising a school but to cursing others. I take it all with a grain of salt.I enjoy arguing and poking fun.
